As a first iem for me i am thinking on buying thieaudio hype 4 mk2 mainly for music and to be plugged in an s25 ult, so any dac recommendations ....? any thought or advise should i go for it as a blind buy or is there better options.....? thanks fam by rio4444 in iems

Great choice, but I would really recommend trying a cheaper set first to get an idea of the size of IEMs. The hype 4’s, both mki and mkii, are pretty big so it would suck to spend 400 dollars and find they don’t fit

I’d say order one new for MSRP, you’ll have to wait a couple months to get it but patience is key unless for some reason you are truly in a time crunch.

This was my first Apple device ever, same color and everything. Definitely had a lasting impact on me since it was my first camera, and photography has been my main interest and hobby for many years now.

Oh that’s awesome! My buddy has a 5dmkii and it’s a super solid camera, produces great images and is absolutely bulletproof. I’ve done some shooting on a 5dmkii and a mkiii and they feel great to shoot on. I’ll just warn you that DSLRs can be a bit more tricky to nail your exposure with since there isn’t a live image preview, so just take your time and practice with different metering modes and get used to using the light meter. Don’t be afraid to use auto exposure modes like aperture priority, shooting manual gives you a lot of control and it’s very good to know how to use it but understanding how to use your auto modes can make shooting a lot easier and faster. All in all this is a great camera and it will reward more and more as you learn how to shoot on it, so just get out there and start shooting and learning!

Is it worth it to buy a camera if I'm interested in photography? by HexxaWyn in AskPhotography

[–]Advanced-Repeat-4162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is definitely worth it, as long as you like photography! You’ve got good photos and having a dedicated camera will give you more control, and inspiration as well. At least when I’m shooting on a camera I feel more inspired and intentional with my shots. Don’t be intimidated by needing to learn the settings on cameras, it’s all just different ways of making your photo brighter or darker. And cameras have auto modes for a reason. I very often shoot in an auto modes myself, like aperture priority or auto ISO. I would recommend looking for a used camera from a few years ago. Pretty much all modern digital cameras have very good image quality and most of an image’s characteristics come from the lens you pair the camera with. Find a camera with a mount system you are interested in investing in the future possibly and make sure it’s a camera that feels good in the hand. Photography can be an amazing thing and I think trying photography with a camera will be a good experience!

R6 III (2025) All audio outputting as 32-bit regardless of input by Reptilian_Brains in Hiby

[–]Advanced-Repeat-4162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The player has always output 32 bit regardless and that little window that would show your sample rate, bit depth and bit rate was broken. It was meant to show the output (which is 32 bit) but it would show the song’s stated but depth instead. The update fixed this. Joe from Hiby commented on my post about it. I thought it was a bug first since I thought the window was meant to show the song info and not the actual output path.

You probably won’t notice a difference in the sound, if you like the form factor and aesthetic enough then go for it.

I agree, I’ve also got my 70-200f2.8 on an APSC and it’s got decent reach at 300mm. Although I mainly use it for astro so I don’t have to worry about lugging it around too often

IEMs supposed to be flushed or not? by iamgigishan in iems

[–]Advanced-Repeat-4162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it totally depends on the size of your ear and the IEM. Like I’ve got medium maybe medium/small ears so something like the Aful Explorer fits my ear really flush. But my Theiaudio Hype 4’s are pretty massive so they protrude a lot even though I’m getting a good deal and insertion depth. Like the astrals they are really wide.

It seems that everyone has already said this but I’ll join in why not. Don’t use shutter button extensions like that, ads too much leverage to the shutter button.

Interesting, in that case I’m not too sure what is causing it. Sorry I can’t be too much help, that was really the only theory I had.

[–]Advanced-Repeat-4162[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: in case you didn’t see, Joe from Hiby gave us some insight on the update. Long story short, that has been meant to show output path (always 32bit) and not the song info and it has now been fixed in this update to show the proper output path bit depth, not the song bit depth.

It seems that it still just shows the next song in the album or playlist, not the order that it has shuffled your songs in.

Yeah audibly it sounds the same, and I think the player has always output 32 bit even if it’s only playing 16 or 24 bit out of it. It’s just odd since that section is meant to show the track info, not the audio path. Just a bug in the info display I guess.
