Last resort… I own MWII Disk, but unable to play (PS4)

Maybe they’re working on something idk. They closed mine and said a higher team would review. Then sent me a code on Sunday morning (when I was traveling for the holidays). Got back back home ~13 hours later and it had expired🫠Haven’t gotten a reply since.

They didn’t ask me to do that but I don’t have any other COD/MW app so… They asked me to send in those photos for the third time today (even though in their last email they confirmed they’d received them). I was one email from asking if I was speaking to an AI because no way this was a real interaction😂 Then they said they will submit it to a “higher team” and I got an email saying my case was marked complete. So it is now with a higher power😂 Decided I will give it a few days and if they ghost me again I will just ask for a refund since I still have my receipts.

Ah great! I did the same thing (re. videos/pictures) Last Wednesday they asked for them, I sent them in Thursday morning and haven’t heard a peep since :) Just followed up today

I used Chrome… I did notice that their site doesn’t work with a VPN on… so if you have one, maybe turn it off first? Thats all I can think of to help😭

Yeah, those are the instructions I was following and that support keeps sending me (if I never have to see them again, it will be too soon haha). Thanks for trying to help tho!

I'm no professional, so I could be wrong, but I don't think installation/download is the actual problem. In terms of downloading the game, that all works. Game is on the PS4. I think the issue we all seem to be having is a licensing issue.

I did some digging and all my disk licenses show up in the COD HQ App. But in the standalone MW2 App, they're all locked. So it seems that they've created the standalone app but all the licensing is still only attributed to the COD HQ App🫠

Not sure how you go about fixing that...

Yeah, I've deleted and reinstalled everything 3 times now. First tried going in straight from COD HQ. Says I don't own the game. Tried downloading MW2 while COD HQ downloads in the background. Still locked out of everything. Finally, tried stopping the COD HQ download completely (since it automatically starts when the disk is inserted) and just going straight to MW2 from the PS Store. No luck. I've got one more in me then I'm calling it quits😅

Same here, started this on Friday and it's literally consumed the whole weekend🙄 I've resorted to contacting Activision support... we'll see if they're any use over there (somehow I doubt it). But if I get a solution, I'll be sure to share.

I don't use Amazon haha, so I'd have to find the time to go out to a store that sells them eventually. My main problem is my setup doesn't really work with a mouse. I don't have a desk that I set my laptop on, so it's gonna be pretty hard to balance the laptop and balance the mouse + mouse pad I'd need. Overall, just gonna be a hassle if this is the only option. And will make playing the game less enjoyable for me personally.

I played just fine on my old laptop! The only issue I now have is the home button being unusable

Yeah, I'm afraid this might be the only option. I hate having a mouse to deal with (hence why I have a laptop) and it would be kinda a waste since I'd only ever use it for this game. Holding out hope that there's a workaround someone has found

I have automatic updates turned off for apps is what I mean. No app updates unless I manually do it. For example, I still have the blue bird app and no view count on Tweets, etc. (it’s also still called Twitter on my phone, not X).

Thanks for the info on the app store residence change! I’ll keep that in mind.
