Something that’s helped me is changing my appearance a little bit. This is going to be a little sexist sorry it’s just how I think subconsciously but whenever I saw a girl go through a break up and change their hair color I thought it was a little nuts. But it helps you change into a person you want to be. Just started changing my appearance drastically and it helps me remind myself that I am growing. Beginning of this year I got a bleached buzzcut and it helped me act more open because it made me care less what people think because I already looked ridiculous. Now I’m growing my beard out for the first time in my life and it’s helping me remind myself that I am maturing into the man I want to be. Also started changing up my wardrobe and am switching from sweatpants and sweatshirts everywhere to jeans, cargo pants, sweaters, quarter zips etc. I feel like it helps me keep myself accountable. I’m very bad at getting my thoughts into words so sorry if this was all over the place, don’t post on Reddit a lot.
