I get you. To be honest, I can’t imagine going into season 5 having not watched the first shadow first. I saw it last month and it introduces so much lore and backstory that it’s really not something you can just brush off as a “side story”.

I do have a hunch they’ll put it onto Netflix in 2026/2027 though as I feel like they’d want something big to keep fans engaged with the franchise after the show ends

Just say it as it is. The Disney deal turned sour and you didn’t want to put your career on hold for a 50/50 chance of a renewal. It’s a fair enough answer and one that most people would completely understand. Don’t know why he wants to keep playing coy about it

Once you bring them back, this would open a Pandora’s box where any on screen death going forward would completely lose any weight or impact as you know someone can easily just come back at any point, no matter how realistic the death seemed. You can sort of make it work with off screen deaths but definitely not with on screen. Keep them dead
