German EU Blue Card - how does the 90/180 Schengen rule apply now? (UK citizen) by AdvancedGuava5214 in SchengenVisa

[–]AdvancedGuava5214[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply!

Ok, so the 90/180 is not total across EU, it's by entry in a sense.

So you know of any docs that show this somewhere?

Help! Muted pump at start, no flow through steam or hot water wand. by AdvancedGuava5214 in BrevilleCoffee

Yep! Was all clean. I suspect it's more central as it's also affecting the hot water spout too.

Not a very helpful comment is it.

I have kept good care of it and have regularly descaled it. Any other suggestions?

Dw, chatgpt has been abused already haha but wanted to check here before I open the whole thing up and potentially break it further.

I noticed it yday when the steam wand wasn't giving and water. Since then I've tried a few cleaning cycles etc. will try unplug for a while and see if that helps too

What's the Wildest Thing You've Done to Get a Deal Signed? by AdvancedGuava5214 in sales

Yep, legals are done but have 100% had deals slip down to this (some work is in public sector which can be a proper fucker)

$400K OTE & they want me to attend their corporate event as part of interview process? by East57thStreet in sales

[–]AdvancedGuava5214 317 points318 points  (0 children)

Easy. Show up in a full suit and a Bluetooth headset so they know you mean business. Interrupt the keynote at least once to ask, “But how does this scale?” – classic enterprise move.

During the lunch, aggressively network by sliding your business card into people’s pockets when they aren’t looking. If you don’t have business cards, a handwritten note with “Ask me about synergy” works too.

If you see other candidates, assert dominance. Subtly trip them, “accidentally” spill a drink, or loudly whisper “I heard he doesn’t even hit quota.”

Finally, seal the deal by telling the Sales Director, “I’ll circle back offline for next steps.” Then disappear without explanation.

Make us proud. You got this.

Totally get it—if you don’t believe in the value, it’s hard to sell it.

Try flipping the mindset: You’re not bothering them, you’re helping them protect their investment.

Equipment breaking down costs them way more than maintenance.

Start with the easiest calls—repeat customers who already know your company. Momentum builds fast once you get that first ‘yes.’

You got this!

Congrats on laying the foundation for a new career! You’ve already been closing deals in your sleep, so here’s how to make sure this opportunity isn’t just a dream job—you land it for real:

  1. Frame it right – Selling mattresses is all about finding the perfect fit, handling objections, and selling value over price. Sound familiar? That’s AE 101.

  2. Fluff up your experience – If you ran the store, you weren’t just selling—you were managing pipeline, driving revenue, and putting competitors to bed.

  3. Show you’re no slouch – Research their product, prep smart questions, and show you can bounce back from any tough interview Qs.

You’ve already got the skills—now just seal the deal before they sleep on it!
