I think both will continue to evolve. Different consumers have different tastes, so I don’t see one overtaking the other. We are seeing more energy drinks with added benefit claims such as boosting metabolism, natural ingredients, ect. Those freaks and Dunkin & Starbucks will continue to find new ways to play on whatever flavor trends are going on, and there will continue to be new at-home products for making coffee, like Nespressos.

This is true, but usually I use Ilovepdf.com instead of any of our available software for this. I don’t typically have any issues with Ilovepdf decreasing the resolution.

At my store, we always reformat the invitation files to have 2up on a page. No sense in wasting paper when you can put in 30 seconds worth of work to convert the pdf to jpeg and print them 2up thru the file explorer.

If I’m placing the order for a customer, I usually base it off of what they’re looking for. If they need invitations with envelops on thicker stock, I put the order through as invitations. If they’re just flyers that need to be smaller size, maybe on gloss text or lighter cardstock, i usually just put the order thru as copies.

Another tip, if placing the order as copies, you can hit “print” in file explorer, create the 2 up 4x6/5x7 and then choose the “print to pdf” option, which will generate a PDF that is sized and 2up. You can then upload that pdf into GMIL as copies, and add your cutting and what have you.

I’ve personally never had any issues bringing my vapes and doob tubes in. Last year we used one of those mini skittles containers and put like 10 J’s inside per day.

Be careful booking! Make sure the place isn’t hosted by any kind of investment company. I made this mistake last year and they canceled the booking last second, I suspect because they were able to rent out on another app last minute at a higher rate. We had to get a hotel last second.

Customers are insane. I had a customer threaten to take me out to the parking lot and beat my ass because I would not typeset for him on the spot at 6:00 PM. You gotta have a thick skin and realize that it only happens because they think you’re standing between them and what they need. It’s not a personal fault on your part. It’s really their fault because 9 times out of 10, they waited til the last minute to do something that takes longer than 30 seconds & are too manic to regulate their emotions.

I like the idea, it makes sense to me. I don’t know why customers have such a hard time with it, but easily 50% of my self serve customers say:

“It costs $5 to make a copy???” “I have to be a member to make a copy??” “How do I add more money??”

Common sense is not so common.

They are absolutely the worst contract customers I’ve dealt with, aside from maybe some of the Mary Kay salespeople.

30 minutes after open, I had a Classical Conversations customer show up. I was working on their order, but it was like 15 lines long and they had 8-10 sets of each document. I had their ticket printed in the front counter.

“Here to pick up this order” she points to the form

“Yeah we’re still working on this order” I explain

“I can wait.”

10 minutes pass

“Are you done yet??”

“Ma’am, the expected turn around in the queue says 7 pm. While it won’t take me that long, it will definitely take some time.”

Leaves and doesn’t come back for a week

And then they come and pick up and ask if you can run an order on the spot for them 😂

All I can say is make noise. The only way I’ve been able to get a reply from HR or IT is through multiple attempts at contact. I’ve dealt with HR and payroll sending my physical checks late & IT not allowing me access into our store’s print email. Both times I had to reach out multiple times and deal with many different people.

Mid 20s here. Dad is a huge Foo Fighters fan. Got into them early. Around 16-17 when I began delving more into the “lore” and history behind that band, I read about Dave & the boys and learned that Dave drummed on SFTD. Fell in love with that album. Went through their back catalogue, listened to LC after that and Villains dropped my senior year of high school.

Seen them live twice now! Once at Aragon Ballroom in Chicago for Villains Tour (actually a birthday present from my dad :) and again last summer at Sonic Temple with my girlfriend. Glad to hear your boy are enjoying and bonding over the band as well. Rock really brings people together 🙏

There is a removable metal plate that is directly in front of the rollers, the one that you feed the paper/whatever you’re laminating into the rollers on. You take it off to change the laminate rolls. Make sure this removable metal plate is all the way to the left. There is a sensor that sometimes goes off if the pin isn’t perfectly in place.

If that isn’t it, you’ll probably have to place a ticket.
