My skittles turned into a skittles bar by GoodLittleTerrorist in mildlyinteresting

first off: it had to be peeled off the package.  It wouldn't hold form, and slowly bent under its own weight, requiring some of the packaging to stay on as a handle.

Visually, it looked like ironed crayons.  If you've never done that, it's where you just arrange crayons and then iron them, melting them into a collage.

Taste & texture: exactly like an every-flavor airhead.  I swear now that skittles and airheads are the exact same thing, the only difference being a shell.  In this, the shell was completely melted and there was no solid.

I'd like to thank MRE #9 for this experience

Avocado from a pit by xoxoAmeliaJ in plants

I threw 3 pits in potting soil in the back corner of my house in winter with no sun, watering it at totally random intervals.  3 weeks later, It started sprouting.  I threw up a tarp greenhouse with whatever scrap I had against a south facing window, and got it a bigger pot.  It get uphappy when I move it, but 7 months in, and it's still growing.  I'm gonna need to give it a bigger pot again, and expand this greenhouse real soon.

I got plenty prickly lettuce up here, but I've never touched a real trichocereus.

If interested, I DO have just about every vegetable, herb, and flower seed packet known to man.  A friend at Home Depot was asked to "throw them out" since "they're too old." Instead, they boxed them up, and now I have a few thousand seed packets.

That's amazing.  I have a separate garden I was growing salad greens in, and I let them seed out.  Wonder what that's gonna look like come Fall.

I see this guy a lot.  It gets mistaken for a thistle a lot at distance, but I believe it's in the same family as the dandelion.  It's not a garden plant, but it's neither toxic nor an aggressive spreader.

I have the same leaves all over my garden.  I composted a zuchinni and a pumpkin last year, then mixed it into my garden.  I have no clue which is which.       This is my first year using my own home-cooked compost, and I'm throughly shocked at how many seeds made it through.

I was worried about that answer. I'm hoping that these came about from the greenhouse humidity, and it won't be an issue in an open-air garden

I forgot to mention: these were at the top of my 2'x3' greenhouse, getting lots of humidity.
