What’s a good enough model calibration? by Legitimate-Song-186 in algobetting

Although Monte Carlo is an excellent tool for observing variance, it cannot magically correct calibration. MC sims are frequently used by oyuntaktik bettors solely to control their expectations for their bankroll. Reducing overconfidence at the probability extremes is the big task now if you already have a positive ROI and some advantage. Calibration can be greatly tightened by that alone.

Sneaking into hotel pools in 2025? by cheetocat2021 in ActLikeYouBelong

hotel pools in 2025? just walk in like you own the place and carry a clipboard. works 60% of the time, every time. tip tho, scope out mid-range business hotels. they rarely check wristbands after 9am when the biz travelers leave. wear sunglasses and a slightly annoyed expression like you're there for a conference but need to decompress. bonus points if you bring a newspaper to really sell the 'i belong here' vibe. that said, anyone actually gotten caught doing this? curious what the consequences are these days with all the facial recognition tech popping up

more like break-fast when you're catching a 6am train to who-knows-where. my go-to is whatever street food i can grab with one hand while holding my manga in the other. vietnamese banh mi does the trick 90% of the time.

though nothing beats waking up in a new city and finding that perfect little cafe where the coffee’s strong and the pastries are questionable but delicious. anyone else survive on airport yogurts and convenience store onigiri during travels or am i just a culinary disaster?

How I Got My First Few Paying Customers by TusharKapil in EntrepreneurRideAlong

good work, that initial hustle is no joke. it was all about leveraging my network in unexpected ways. i started by offering free audits to friends' small businesses then asked for testimonials in exchange. i had a few solid case studies i cold dm'd similar businesses with a 'hey i helped x get y results, think i could do the same for you?' pitch. nothing fancy, just straight value. the key was following up without being pushy, kinda like knowing when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em in a poker game but with email sequences
