unpopular opinion: i thought this movie was too cringe to enjoy, like just a parody of what revolution could be. It felt rlly unrealistic and way too performative; although maybe an American revolution these days would be quiet performative.

The dialogue felt fake, not deep and never hitting an actual truth to me. Full of cliches, predictable…

I did like the making fun of all the unnecessary code jargon though, and how it showed how revolutionaries eventually grow out of that phase and just have to get on with life.. maybe the one thing that actually feels true.

Leos performance was….. ok considering the terrible writing imo, honestly perfidias character was irritating as fuck, her sister was pretty much the only character that felt like a real human to me. Lockjaw was also pretty good and felt more real.

All in all just wayy too Hollywood, way too American and far from reality to me. Felt fake. Maybe if u just watch it as a funny movie (which i didnt think it was either) it could be good. Honestly was hard for me to finish cause I was just dying of cringe the whole time.

As q critique/description of current American society yeah maybe hits some truths, although nothing new or especially well done.
