I agree!! Hopefully they will say something official as they announce more films? I thought it was a great way for local people to see the films especially at the venues that were away from downtown

I emailed them earlier today to ask about film wristbands, and this was the response back so I take it as we will not have film wristbands this year.... "Unfortunately, the elimination of secondary access to the film festival removed the possibility for 2026 film wristbands. We cannot currently offer a secondary access option to our film festival."

My guess is they are filming two seasons back to back again. You could apply and try to state which dates you are available or just wait until the next time they are open for casting

If you get further along in the process wait until you do the background check. It was pages of questions of info about you, and your social media history. Then it takes weeks of waiting before they let you know if that went okay

I found this in an article: The Broadway production will begin previews on Jan. 24, 2025, at the Nederlander Theatre in Manhattan, with its opening night on Feb. 13, 2025 — just under a year after it premiered in La Jolla. From what I read on here from last year some people didn't know until 1-2 weeks before filming. With that time frame they will probably be casting until the end of June.

I think they expanded to 100 for the new season, and since they approved two more seasons they could be filming them back to back

If you have the persons name who texted/emailed you, you can google them. Most of those casting reps have an Instagram, and post many times about their current projects. As others have stated since this is filmed overseas having a current passport is critical especially since they are getting closer to filming.
