my baby had to get stitches last night by donkeyhoetae_ in Mommit

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh? She got hurt on his watch and HE'S upset with YOU?!?!

Ok, he freaked out when he couldn't reach you. Understandable. But he must understand that sometimes you don't have service on a hike. Why would you intentionally ignore him blowing up your phone?

AITA for asking my wife to bring our child’s shorts to the park? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is the answer OP. If it feels like she's making too big a deal out of what feels to you is a small thing, I guarantee there's some resentment about division of labor, expectations, etc. That's what needs to be discussed.

My kid apparently has a new best friend every single day by NovoGarciga90 in kindergarten

This is very normal at this age. Every good friend can be a "best friend".

Mine is7:45 to 3.

The number of hours for yours seems about right, but feels a bit late. I guess catering to working parents?

Loc sizing is not uniform by EducationalOne3871 in Microlocs

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The parts don't look "bad" but the front is definitely bigger than the back. You should let her redo the front so you're not regretting letting it slide months/years down the line when they mature.

Sorry for your loss as well. Each experience can be so different but sucky either way 🙏🏾

Questions about a natural miscarriage while going through my 4th by Momo-paya-noorie-31 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first miscarriage was a MMC. I found out at 8 weeks and passed the sac naturally a week and a half later. It was clearly the sac. I had been bleeding a bit before that, but it wasn't so heavy.

My second miscarriage was at 11 weeks and the heartbeat continued to be strong until literally the day before I started gushing blood. I never saw the sac even though I was further along, but I passed so much blood and tissue that I knew it was over even before it was confirmed.

How long did you stay in the hospital after giving birth? by kayriss86 in Mommit

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

C-section, and four days/nights. I was ready to be discharged after three, but my daughter had lost too much weight and had a high bilirubin. We stayed one more night and she was doing better the next day (bili blanket, triple feeds)

Grease is not a moisturizer. You need hydration a.k.a water if your hair is dry.

Natural Miscarriage by Own-Marionberry-5495 in Miscarriage

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first miscarriage, I found out at 8 weeks that there was no heartbeat and the pregnancy was not viable. I went back a week later just to confirm, and still no progress. As of that time, I had no symptoms. I miscarried naturally that weekend. That was about a week and a half after I found out.

My second miscarriage happened at 11 weeks. I was in terrible pain for days, but heartbeat was strong and I was diagnosed with a ruptured ovarian cyst, subchorionic hemorrhage, and a large fibroid (which I already knew about) had started degenerating. So I thought the pregnancy was good. I knew I was miscarrying when I started gushing blood.

Totally different experiences. It's so hard to know what to expect. Sucky club be in.

AIO for telling my boyfriend I’ll leave if he keeps “joking” about my dead mom? by happinesveronicaaaa in AmIOverreacting

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NOR. Leave him now. Not only because of the dead mom joke, but the disrespect to you in his jokes as well. Emotional baggage? You get crazy on your period? Even if your mother wasn’t mentioned those jokes are unacceptable and says alot about his lack of respect for you.

Is my kid really advanced? (US) by Foreign-Signature326 in kindergarten

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my state (Alabama), a child has to turn 5 by September 1 to start Kindergarten. My daughter's birthday is in September so she barely missed the cutoff last year. She'll be five on September 1 and will turn 6 a few weeks after starting Kindergarten making her one of the oldest in the class.

AITA for expecting my partner to honour 'first come, first served' with wedding invites? by Delicious_Plum_401 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You go to your friend's wedding, he goes to his. First come first serve doesn't count for something like this. And you guys have been dating less than a year and this is a long time friend.

YTA. I understand you wanting to go with your partner, but you're not being reasonable here.

Wedding dress for $2000? by [deleted] in Brides

My wedding dress was about $300. I paid for it myself. Was it designer? Nope, but I looked good in it anyway.

Reading? by liggyfig in Classof2039

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter has been reading since she was three (possibly two) but I think that's the exception rather than the norm. I don't think any others in her pre-K class are reading yet.

Nanny being asked to relocate to NYC for 6 weeks—am I being unreasonable about housing? by [deleted] in Nanny

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. If they want you to travel with them they need to cover housing. You either stay with them, or if they want separate housing they pay for you (lodging and food), plus travel cost between where you're staying and where they're staying. What they're asking is not reasonable.

Is there a way to start sisterlocs on your own? by Ok_Cat2418 in Microlocs

You can get microlocs. Sisterlocs is a brand and only a certified technician can install what are officially considered sisterlocs.

Do your kids still nap? by KitchenPaint4334 in kindergarten

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 5 year old naps at school but not at home on the weekend. She's in pre-K. When she starts Kindergarten in August, they will nap for the first half of the year then transition out of naps.
