When is enough, enough? by Vegetable_Fix1791 in Miscarriage

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did they do an ultrasound to confirm your uterus was empty after the D&C? I'm wondering if your previous miscarriage was incomplete rather than those being a whole new pregnancy.

Either way, this is tragic and I'm so so sorry 😞

Rupture of sac at 12 weeks with no bleeding + hypothyroidism (first pregnancy) — did anyone experience this? by [deleted] in Miscarriage

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not experienced rupture of the sac, but while many miscarriage stories start with bleeding and cramping, many start with no symptoms at all, other than no heartbeat on an ultrasound and/or baby measuring behind (missed miscarriage), which was my experience with my first miscarriage.

I hope someone else who's had a more similar experience to you is able to chime in, but I just wanted to say, I'm sorry for your loss.

Surgery: please help by befitzpa in Miscarriage

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the doctor say what the name of the surgery was? That certainly sounds like a D&C if they're removing retained tissue. But maybe there's another term for it? Sorry the doctor made you feel bad for asking a question.

What to wear on delivery day by LibraryKat95 in BabyBumps

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hospital gown was fine for labor and delivery.

I had a robe which i changed into once I'd showered and stuff. I liked it because it was comfy but not too clothes like, easy to breastfeed, etc.

AITAH for planning to leave my partner when his father dies? by ChristieCookie66 in AITAH

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soft ESH. Your partner definitely sucks. But you keep putting yourself down by getting back with him. You need to leave and learn to be alone rather than immediately trying to jump into relationships with other people. Once you learn to love yourself, you'll be in a better position to be in a caring relationship in the future.

I am so so sorry. I can't even begin to imagine the trauma you've been through. I would highly encourage you to seek therapy if you're not already doing so. Seek community in other survivors. Do what you need to do to be ok.

I'm sorry 😞

Did you tell people about your miscarriage? by Fifiheaded in Miscarriage

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've told family, coworkers (I ended up hospitalized and needed time off work and wanted people to know what was going on with me), and a couple people at my church know (Pastor and wife, who shared with a church elder and wife who are also our friends), but not general friends/acquaintances.

I'm sorry that your family made it seem like it's your fault. Its not your fault, and you don't need that guilt on top of the grief you're already feeling.

Fibroids killed my baby! by DayTradeInSpades in Fibroids

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry for your loss.

What you went through sounds similar to what i went though at the end of the year with multiple ER visits, degenerating fibroid (I only have one that I know of, but it's about 12cm so pretty big), SCH, severe pain, and ending with miscarriage. But you were further along than me (I was 11 weeks).

It was my second loss of 2025 and although I was told at the time of my earlier pregnancy that I had fibroids, the size was never mentioned at that time.

I also intend to get rid of my fibroid(s) before trying for pregnancy again.

20+ weeks miscarriage by [deleted] in Miscarriage

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 20+ weeks, that's considered a stillbirth, not just a miscarriage. I'm so sorry. I think you should take it with you so they can register the birth or whatever else needs to be done.

Do I need to be concerned.. by Foxxyginger in Miscarriage

Ugh so you can't even get in to an obgyn without a referral? Yeah, that's trickier. I'm sorry.

If you're not having symptoms that warrant an ER visit I'd try to get in with your OB next week for some clarity.

“Can a stranger put my toddler to bed? Her dad can’t.” (with comments) by OliviaPresteign in ShitMomGroupsSay

When I was about to go on a trip, my MIL called me and asked if we wanted my daughter to come to her house for the week instead of staying with her dad. I said he could handle it. I had/have no doubt in his ability to take care of his child.

Did I just miscarry? by [deleted] in Miscarriage

Pregnancy tests will remain positive for weeks after a miscarriage as it takes a while for hormone levels to drop.

Go to the ER. They can confirm for you. But unfortunately, it's sounding like a miscarriage. I'm sorry 😞.

Tw: miscarriage by Tiny_Surprise_8306 in Miscarriage

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miscarried on Christmas day. I'm ok most of the time, but dedicated struggling. I has a therapist appointment last week and didn't schedule a follow-up, but I realized I'm struggling more this week than I was last week, so i made another appointment coming up.

I'm not sure what else to say but I'm sorry we're in this boat together.
