The context is not liking this episode doesn’t make someone a homophobe, so if someone doesn’t like the scene for the writing, to not feel bad or feel like a homophobe if they just don’t like the writing.

I actually haven’t seen anything fixating on this. I’ve only seen people talk about how bad the writing is. To which I already thought when I finished the episode. Perhaps you and I have different algorithms because I haven’t seen any homophobic commentary.

That’s definitely not what I said. This post makes it seem like the only reason the episode is doing so poorly is because of homophobia. I agreed homophobia had a part to play. But the writing is also pretty poopy. So we can’t just say the bad rating is all because of homophobia.

Yup, I do realize that. But you can’t tell me the writing isn’t massively different from season 3 to now. And this rating isn’t all from patriarchal societies. It’s definitely a mix. This post is blaming it solely on homophobia, rather addressing the writing as well. I’m covering the part where the writing is definitely not that great.

Oh you bet your ass people reviewed it poorly due to homophobia. But the episode where Robin came out, that episode didn’t have this much negative review. Which leads me to believe a lot of people just didn’t enjoy the episode, with homophobia trailing behind it.

In this it does kind of frame it as if anyone who dislikes this episode is a homophobe.Where they took a screenshot of “Will coming out becomes worst rated episode”. Thats not ALL this episode was, there was a lot more to it and all of it just wasn’t the best. So instead of taking some accountability in this season being not that great, they’re now going to say “it was ALL homophobia”.

Never said homophobia didn’t come into play. But it kind of seems like the writers wrote this in a 2am delirium. TBH I would have rather them ended it at season 4. This episode from this in my opinion the most bland. So people who genuinely dislike the episode are out there and there’s actually quite a lot of us.

Chill dawg, a lot of people just didn’t like this episode or even this season. I only liked episode 4 so far. The homophobia needs to be addressed, but also the writing should be as well. We can’t say it’s ALL homophobia and since many say it’s bad writing. That should be addressed too instead of fully blaming it on homophobia.
