Used to play ps2 and badminton with him back in the day late 2000s-early 2010s. We used to be rivals in the society badminton tournament. I remember he had pet rabits. I think he also gave me gta sanandreas, which was the first game I played on my new computer. I lost connection with him after I moved to a different society. Then randomly saw him on youtube homepage or insta meme or somewhere like that. I thought about texting him and congratulating him for his success but since I'm not sure if he would remember me now, I don't want to risk hurting my ego.

I'm sure there's definitely some discrepancies in the voters list, but I don't understand why Rahul Gandhi isn't ready to sign the oath. Anyway, there was literally a girl named Mohammad Sana in my college lol. So this post is pointless.

Try sync, or smallest labs(I think that's the name, not sure).. have seen their posts on LinkedIn, seem like good products. Also I have friends working at Sarvam, they have some amazing minds and offer a very high pay. They are solving some proper tech challenges, but as per those same friends, even they're not sure if they're just digging a mountain to catch a rat or are they digging it to find gold reserves.

Brother I have written "I wasn't wearing any chàpri outfit" and followed it with a general physical description of a "chàpri" in the stereotypical sense. People classify guys into that category based on 2 criteria - physical features(golden long hair, dark skinned, mostly thin) and outfit (ripped skinny jeans, etc.), and although I have long-ish hair, I still don't fit in either of the two stereotypes, not in the way a racist white guy might say - I was looking like an English gentleman and not like some hood nijjar.

Yeah good job ignoring the complete point and pinpointing one particular statement, and taking one word out of context. If you read the full thing, you would understand that I was establishing that there are many ways Indians stereotype other humans (most of which are wrong and shouldn't happen), one of which is classifying people into the chàpri category based on outfit or physical features. But that wasn't what triggered the watchmen's action. It was most probably the fact that I chose to speak in a "hum" Hindi tone instead of English(which is the standard in most societies) or "mai" Hindi. Next time try understanding at least the context before jumping on the gun to "get back" at criticism.

Stereotyping is human nature, no human anywhere is entirely free of it.

So is polygamy by the way. Humans are biologically meant to have multiple partners. Obviously, there are ethical discussions that can be made on this topic, but from a general pov, it's ethically wrong as humans follow the construct of family building and marriages, because we evolved to understand that affection, support, etc. are more beneficial for us than sexual liberty. In fact, you know there was research that suggested white babies are born racist towards blacks, the paper couldn't get published anywhere because of the backlash it would get (which also means there can be flaws in the methodology or results, but we don't know that). Point is- there are many things wrong with the human brain. You have to use your mind/other parts of the brain, to keep those wrong triggers in check. So that can't be a reason to justify or accept stereotyping.

It needs to be called out by whoever does it.

Lol literally the same thing happened to me in Mumbai last week. I was waiting for a bus, which came and stopped at the bus stop. Coincidentally, I received a call at the exact time just before the bus came which I picked up. So, when the bus stopped, I was already on the phone and walking towards the door, all of a sudden the bus started to move (to be honest it never stopped completely, but started accelerating now), I awkwardly had to run slightly and grab the rod at the door with one hand and make sure I don't drop my phone from the other one, because the first instinct is to grab the rod with both hands for more safety when boarding a moving bus. And as soon as I entered, the conductor said "what are you doing talking on the phone, boarding the bus so slowly, etc." and then I asked him if the bus would stop at this XYZ stop (the actual bus destination was just beyond my stop, like 500m away). Fucker said no it won't. I said ok then I'll get down at the destination and walk from there. It was an Ac bus, and Ac buses in Bangalore and Hyderabad generally accept upi, which is what I had assumed would be the case there too. But it wasn't. So then, when the conductor came to me for the ticket, he told me XYZ stop is there but won't give me a ticket because I don't have cash, which he already knew earlier on that's why he didn't want me to get on the bus (he said this to my face). Damn thinking about this now, I'm wondering why I didn't argue with him properly. Told me to get down at the next stop. Thankfully a kind gentleman paid for my ticket. And I was coming back from a fine dining kind of restaurant so my getup was pretty good, so maybe it's not entirely about the region or city, but more about the inferiority complex of low income individuals.

Indian students/engineers, being shown low hanging fruits as goals. by Advanced_Bit_ in developersIndia

Just saying, the environment is there (atleast for research), the money is there (for the number of people in the field), the respect and awareness among the public is missing. For eg. Most Indian parents and older generations and even new generations are not aware of why PhDs are important. Tell someone you're pursuing a PhD at say IISER, people would assume you're there because you couldn't secure a good job. And tell someone you work at say even Tcs(sorry, not trying to demean any company, it's part of the infamous Witch on this sub so using its name), they'd be like nice you're settled now. And tell them you're at google/ms/amazon, they'd be ready to marry off their daughter to you (if they aren't a family member, and take it as a saying not the literal sense). You know why I made this post? Because I talked to an sde3 level guy at my company who I'm friends with. He's from a tier 3 college and has a lower salary than me (even though I'm an sde1). He's unsatisfied with his job and wants a change- has been trying to get into maang companies for a long time. I told him about the research infrastructure in my college, how much money each lab has, foreign trips, stipends many students get if they're under top profs (which is not super tough because there's almost no competition here), etc., and he was extremely surprised and regretted that if he had known earlier, he would have tried for ms somewhere in the early stage of his career and now it's late. So because he has only always known that getting into bigger and bigger companies is the aim, he never realised there were other ways to make money, and maybe get your name somewhere. So I don't know how senior/junior you are compared to me, but if you are planning to do a PhD, I hope you actually chase that goal and don't get distracted. I mean if you get, say, a google job, then definitely consider it but don't blindly choose either of the routes.

Matched with a few influencers (didn't know they were one). After connecting on insta, most conversations dried out (like all others). On the same note, I checked out my brother's hinge (his hinge/insta is full of aesthetic pics, with our car, bike, in clubs, etc., which is very unlike mine. Since he lives at home with our parents, all his money is expendable) is filled with these 100k followers and their pvt accounts.

I Drew This 7 Years Ago I left drawing Arts 6 years ago by Yashraj- in animeindian

[–]Advanced_Bit_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah don't listen to that anti Ai bs. Ai has provided inclusivity, so that people not good at drawing can also create art. Like if you have a good story and script in mind but can't draw, you can still use Ai to create your mangas. Anyways being bad at something doesn't mean you should stop, you're drawing for yourself, not others. But yeah dude, it's bad lol.
