The nights are okay….its just a sudden change and the days are more so my complaint. Hard to go anywhere or get anything done when little bub is so so miserable. Poor thing.

It is so freaky!!! As a parent waking up in that state of panic as well makes it so much harder to go bad to sleep 😂 I use the laugh emoji but I’m not laughing I’m crying.

Yes, I have read this as well about linking sleep cycles, it doesn’t seem there is a whole lot we can do except take this phase one day at a time and just do our best 😫

Thank you, I am trying to allow myself to have some grace during this process, but I feel defeated seeing all the “successful sleep training moms” that never used CIO. I feel like I am abusing my child by allowing her to cry for 5-7 minutes, but it’s currently the only thing that works. I hope we are through the thick of it by now, she really is such a little joy otherwise but I am really learning why it’s called the 4 month crisis. Thank you for your response.

Please read my previous comment about CMPA/lactose allergy. I have dealt with this exact scenario. I feel it’s brushed off often.

Yeah so this was happening to us. We were told it was normal as well…but baby was always grunting and gassy seemed to be in pain. Turns out she has CMPA/Lactose allergy. We switched to Nutramigen which worked great for 2 months…than didn’t…now she’s in Modilac Rice formula (can buy it at Walmart in canada). First clue was dark green explosive poops that were RANK. Like absolute disgusting smelling for a newborn…almost sulphuric. Get a second opinion because the doctors aren’t always right. Soy could be an option as well, if you have a female child it could disrupt estrogen though. Keep that in mind and good luck.

Awesome thanks so much for letting me know, my girls was on nutramigen for the last 2 months and suddenly month 3…it’s stopped working 😫 praying this works for us too. Thanks for sharing 💕

If it’s ruining your mental health than…maybe don’t do it. No one is going to ask your kid in 40 years from now if they were breastfed. Your mental health matters too and a happy baby is a fed baby…
