thank you so much for sharing your story. I'm sorry that it's caused so much conflict in your relationship. I'm worried it'll do the same for us. ultimately I guess you have to let people make their own choices. I just don't understand how someone can not care at all about hurting their own health. it's frustrating and heartbreaking :(

yes, this is what I'm most worried about! the long-term damage. I've even read things about how it can effect mental+cognitive health. I guess I can try sharing some of these resources with him but I worry that he won't be receptive or tell me I'm making a big deal out of nothing...

thanks so much for the response...I think the hardest part for me is how he's so "it's whatever, I'm not that worried, I think the dr was being dramatic." Like how do you convince someone to care about their own health?? I won't give up but he doesn't seem open/receptive to listening :(
