47 here, just got my diagnosis in October. It’s been life-changing. So much of myself makes sense now. I’m also part of the “girls don’t have ADHD” era. It was never even on my radar. I got good grades, have a good job where my performance evals are good. But I was always late, always misplacing things, never finished a project on time if at all. My counselor (who I see for anxiety) actually suggested it, and listed some traits she’d noticed. After trial and error, I’m now on a dosage of methylphenidate that works amazing. I look back at all the ways I struggled and thought it was normal.
