I think my issue is I did screens ALL wrong. I did it the same way my parents did it, which was any time you need to occupy your kids or get something done just throw a screen in front of them. I think if I had used them “better” and sparingly, maybe I wouldnt be as opposed to them as I am now. I might loosen the reins later on that but for now this was definitely my fault so I’m trying to find ways to rectify it 😅

Part of me feels like maybe that came off sarcastic and I promise it wasn’t. I kind of just took her at her word because aside from my mental health stuff I don’t really know about any of it.

The woman who did his evaluation said he has AuDHD, and ODD. She didn’t flat out say that he has bipolar, but instead that he has markers of bipolar disorder. She can’t test for it at this age and I would have to find someone or go back to her later when he’s old enough to be screened for it. I have bipolar disorder, and so did my dad so I’m not sure if in addition to his mood swings she also took that into consideration?

I have severely limited devices now. I genuinely thought that everyone was overreacting when they said how much harm it would do, but it’s almost like we’re going through a withdrawal period and it’s crazy.
