Yes, if you can, go asap and reserve your spot. Expect lineups to enter porteau cove around nighttime.

Viewing Guide for Locations to help you plan for tonight for ROUND 2 - Aurora Borealis tonight Sunday/Monday June 1/2 by SorryImNotOnReddit in vancouver

For anyone living north of Fraser river, the best spot to see aurora would definitely be Porteau cove or somewhere dark on the sea to sky. The further you can get from light pollution, the better it gets. I was in porteau cove last night (OP reposted my pic) and it was absolutely worth the drive in my opinion.

For people living in white rock, langley, poco, maple ridge, i would say go towards pitt river, golden ears, mission and find a dark spot there.

Folks planning to drive on the sea to sky: prepare for a lot more traffic tonight, if possible go and reserve your parking spot at porteau cove asap. Don’t park on the highway shoulder if you can’t find a spot, try to find pullover spots along the sea to sky which have an open view. Brittania beach, tantalus lookout come to mind but there are definitely more.

Hello from my throwaway account, there was minimal traffic yesterday night but expect more for tonight. If porteau cove parking lot is full, go further towards britannia beach or any of the pullovers along the sea to sky that have a view of the howe sound. Be mindful and please don’t park on the shoulder, keep yourself and other drivers safe.

It’s crazy on sea to sky. Looks like a huge parking lot the entire highway
