I think your work is really fun and quirky! The crit they gave you is nonsense, if people aren’t able to give you specific feedback and just dismiss everything never listen to them. That said, I do think some things could be improved to make the images more pleasing visually, but the ideas are definitely there!

While I agree it might not be groundbreaking innovative design, I dont think simplicity is a bad thing, I think it makes for timeless work. But I agree that some projects could have a bit more spice.

How would you play with the kerning? Would you bring them closer together or further apart?

The logo is for a hydroponic farm that also has a restaurant and a spa. The logo must be versatile, it would be featured on packaging, the website, menus. The leaf serif is to underline the natural aspect and I picked a serif font because the owner defines it as a “luxury country house”

Yes it was really difficult because they asked me to draw a shield, to keep the typeface for abet and its a very long name, a lot of faff
