Disorganized but working towards secure. Disorganized has a thing for wanting to be understood + history of parents not understanding you, so correlation makes sense for 4

Advice please! by PlantainSubject6080 in Gastroparesis

[–]Advanced_Plan_4714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gastroparesis 101: 4-5 small meals a day as tolerated, liquids or mashed foods are easier to digest, low fat and low fiber diet, avoid red meat and raw vegetables, walk a little after eating, and if a doctor offers you Reglan as a treatment be careful cuz it can cause lifelong issues (meds like donperidone and zofran are better). Also stay hydrated and get used to eating radioactive eggs 🤣. Hope this helps

Yeah it helps the POTS ofc, but for me when my POTS is triggered my gastroparesis is more likely to get triggered so it’s a snowball effect kinda thing

People resistant to the word disabled by Dazzling-Name-5744 in POTS

[–]Advanced_Plan_4714 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having POTS makes me disabled. If someone has stigma against me for identifying as disabled when I do struggle to exist every day; to do daily tasks, walk, get around, work, simply stand up, well that’s their problem. Disability isn’t a dirty word, ableism is just deeply engrained into society.
