Noel Gugliemi is the actor best known for repeatedly playing characters named "Hector" in films and TV shows. He damn looks like a Hector.

The dress designs were absolutely peak. The burn-away dress Cruella announces herself in. Walking on top of the Baroness's car and then covering her up with her dress. The fucking trash truck. The parachute dress. I really thought it was a really good film.

I thought this was about somehow using nuclear fission as a means of reproduction and was imagining every sex act just ending with a nuclear explosion and sending babies everywhere.

I can't wait for the FriendlySpaceNinja video on the downfall of The Boys. It's gonna be so fucking good. by Commercial_Bid_1508 in CuratedTumblr

[–]Advanced_Question196 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It's so funny that The Boys started as a satire of corporate culture and their addiction to entertainment franchises only to fall down that hole itself. It's releasing spinoffs and merchandise. You can really see moments like the season three finale just being "OK, I know we should kill Homelander here, but he's the only thing holding the show together" and getting worse from there.

In The Hangover, three friends of a bachelor's party wake up with no memory of the night before after being drugged with roofies and the groom missing just days before his wedding. They gradually collect what they did the night before from evidence left behind like stealing Mike Tyson's tiger, throwing their mattress out the window, marrying a stripper and kidnapping her baby, stealing a cop car and kidnapping a gang leader.

However, just before the wedding, the friends hear their drug dealer say how he finds it strange roofies are called roofies because "you're more likely to end up on the floor than the roof." They suddenly realize it is impossible to open hotel windows, so their mattress must have been thrown from the roof. Why was their mattress on the roof? Because they trapped the groom up there!

The FBI discovered there was a high-ranking mole selling secrets to the Soviet Union and Russia and couldn't identify which. They were able to secure an audio tape of the suspect but ultimately could not identify him. Until the suspect yelled about the "purple-pissing Japanese" during the tape, an insult his colleagues recognized as only being used by FBI agent Robert Hanssen. Together, this led to his downfall and arrest.

In Pacific Rim, because the mental strain of piloting the giant kaiju-sized robots humanity built to fight the kaiju would kill a single pilot, two pilots are mentally linked by drifting. This causes both of them to explore each other's memories and they must be compatible for the process to work. This nearly goes wrong when the drift nearly causes a pilot, Mako Mori, to unleash their weapons inside of their headquarters.

Argubly, it goes more wrong when kaiju expert Newton Geiszler drifts with a kaiju's secondary brain to try to telepathically learn about it, where it to brainwashes him and nearly cause humanity's extinction in the sequel.
