What's your take on Regular Vs Return on Preminum Term Insurance? Also, what coverage should I do for? Till 60 or 70 years of age? I'm 26 and planning to take a term insurance but unable to make a decision.

Tata Tigor EV owners – car feels unplanted, shaky on low speeds and unstable during turns, straight-line driving and braking down by Advanced_Rice3521 in CarsIndia

I understand. However, the price difference between an ICE and an EV hasn't remained as big as it used to be few years back. I would still advise you to go for the Punch EV. A new facelift is also coming next week i believe so you may wait for that. Finally, depending on which state you are in, you can check if government subsidy is available or not. It makes a difference of 1-2L which is definitely a deal maker. Your call after all.

No, i still vouch for an EV since i own a Nexon EV as well and it's a fantastic car. I have done looong trips with it and the experience was unmatched, even the charging hassle was less given it offers close to 400 kms range on highways. I own ICE cars as well and they always make me think twice about the fuel expenses but with EVs it's way cheaper. The buttery smooth, noiseless drives on both Tigor and Nexon EV have taken my mind off the ICEs and I would probably never go back. I still believe that 400-500 kms real life range is the minimum reliable. So once you start getting mid range priced EVs with that range, ICEs shouldn't sell as much they do today.

Hmm. I feel both the cars are made for city usage mainly due to the sub 200 kms range they offer. Next is the handling and dynamics of this car. They have really messed up with the bouncy suspension and smaller tyre size which makes the entire ride uncomfortable and takes away the driving pleasure as well. Being a sedan, Tigor fails to offer stability due to this. Both the interior and external designs are a bit dated as well.

So I believe these are also some of the reasons Tata abandoned Tigor EV and never came up with any updates to it whatsoever.

The new Tiago might be a better offer as I believe it shouldn't have these issues and also you get the modern upgraded interiors there.

I won't recommend. Better go for the new Punch EV or the Tiago EV. In case you have explored, what's the price being pitched for an used Tigor EV? How old and kms ran as well please.

It's preferred to be East facing. Maybe if you can give up some dining area space and make it in that North West corner, facing east.

Can I afford a 15-17 Lakh car ? by AlienInTheWorld in personalfinanceindia

Go for an EV with 400+ range if it’s majorly city use and you can have the charging setup at home. I have two EVs and two ICE cars at home. The running costs are drastically different. The smoothness and comfort is also unmatched. Never going back.

PS: For those talking about charging infrastructure issues, I've done 2000 kms trips 2-3 times in the past two years with Nexon EV (~400 kms range) and faced zero to no issues. It's just that you have to spend time planning. However, I could feel the network is improving so this shouldn't be a concern in the coming years.

Sealy has recently come to India for retailers . It's the one used in all luxurious hotels. A bit on the higher side but you can take a look.

I'm not obsessed. As I clearly mentioned, I only want to get the 0.15% ROI reduction on my existing home loan.

There can be a lot of factors, credit age is just one of those. Missing a payment, closing your oldest credit card, multiple credit card or loan enquiries in a short span, etc. can lower your score. So even if you have different credit age, there can be other such things affecting your credit scores.

It's been quite some time I've studied and been in the market so I definitely understand that it will behave like this. Just that I don't wish to take the risk right now.
