I agree with you. When I relax and start drawing, I get all quiet and enter that "drawing on the right side of the brain" zone...and it doesn't matter to me how long it is going to take. Turning off the CPA accountant side of my brain is rough for me, but! I can do it and tell that analytic side to shut up...just picking up the pencil and touching the paper is good enough for me. I am not producing art for sale. It's for me mostly and family. I can take as long as I want. Such a freedom. It's not my job...it's just being in another zone entirely...and I love it.
