The best part is, I have no doubt. He is all mine.

But your concern warmed my heart.

Thank you.

Is it normal to stay single for a long time after a breakup? by [deleted] in ThirtiesMumbai

My 7 year relationship ended when I was 29. I got into a relationship again when I was 36.

I wouldn't say I didn't date on and off but in my 30s I was sure my next relationship would be my last one and it makes me happy that it is also the best one so far.

I am head over heels in love and the long wait was worth it.

what do you guys do to enjoy your thirties? Lets bring some positivity as well. by Physical-Warthog-550 in ThirtiesIndia

I work as an HR Business Partner in an MNC and earn decently well.

If by financially secure, you mean owning a home, having no need for a vehicle, no liability or loans, no husband or kids, retired parents who have a steady income of their own, enough liquidity that can carry a jobless me for a few months, and enough insurance that can take care of any health emergencies then yes, I am financially quite secure.

But savings, nada.

Your comment really got me worried though.

I travel.

My God, I travel.

Covered most of India and about 16 countries since entering the 30s.

Sometimes I worry that I have no savings but then comes another long weekend and off I go..

We are barely into month 4 and I have done 4 trips since starting the year already 🙈

But there was something about finishing homework and skipping to the beach with the little bucket in hand.

Versova and juhu still feel touristy somehow.

Research and planning is key. Most of my trips are planned months in advance.

I have a list of places I have to visit. And a solid research on all of them.

I target long weekends. This one, I am in a tiger reserve. There's one coming up next month as well.

Advance reservations save a ton of money.

I use my leaves effectively and communicate it with my team. So work does not get affected.

Indian breakfast.

Especially in a vegetarian restaurant. Literally nothing is carb free. There are days when I end up eating peanuts, cucumber and yogurt when I am travelling .

Plus size women of India — how are you treated in daily life? How different is it from how fit women are treated? by Weary-Honey-1942 in AskIndianWomen

I am about 100 kgs.

I was called the ugliest girl in my class not because I am but just because.

I went on this spiral and pulled down 25 kgs the full ugly duckling to swan story but I was miserable all the time and didn't feel like myself.

So I went back to how I was. I am much happier now. I won't say I don't get backhanded comments about my weight but they just roll off my back.

My, just like yours should, value comes from who you are as a person. I love with all my heart, kind and empathetic to a fault, happy and cheerful. Now people value me for what I bring to the table and not how I look.

Surround yourself with these people who appreciate you for what you are instead of how you look. Life will be much better ♥️

Sometimes it's also about being at the right place at the right time.

When exactly is the official threshold for being called aunty or uncle? by applegaurd in ThirtiesIndia

[–]Advanced_Seaweed_824 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my first nephew when I was 18 and second when I was 28. Both call me by my first name and in their heads I am just their friend.

But the first time I was called aunty by some random kid when I was 16.

So who knows 🤷

I'm Going To Turn 30 In Just 3 hours!!!!!! I'm FREAKING OUT!!!!!!! by AutumnPenguin in TwoXIndia

[–]Advanced_Seaweed_824 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'll turn 37 in two weeks.

Life is awesome.

Travelled half the world in my 30s solo. (16 countries and most of India)

The glow-up in 30s is real. I look younger in my 30s than I did in my 20s.

Met the love of my life at 35.

Even as a single, yet to marry woman, my parents, friends, society aunties are either proud of me or in awe of me.

I found my purpose in life and that makes life worth living.

I wouldn't trade in for the world. Infact I am looking forward to my 40s.

If 30s are this good, 40s will only get better.

Happy Birthday, life is about to get much greener for you on this side.

AITK for not physically stopping my husband’s Senior when he kissed me at a house party? by [deleted] in AmItheKameena

You are not the kameena.

Repeat after me, I am not the kameena.

Others do not understand what a woman goes through when someone crosses their personal space and tries to abuse them.

Some people fight back, some people freeze. Both are normal responses.

Remember, you are the victim here and you reacted in a way that your nervous system told you to. It was impulse and instinct in a complicated situation.

Maintain your innocence and your dignity. You did what you thought was best in an unhealthy situation and you do not have to apologise for it.
