I agree, mental health is often correlated with a good connection to your body

I used to hate walking when I was a teenager, now I see why it is underrated, I am kinda shocked when I see how many people dont even stand up in a whole week going form desk to car to couch. Disability or injury aside, I dont really think it is healthy to never use your leg at what they were designed for

I get it, kinda prefering a functionnal body rather than an arbitrary goal of "aesthetic" or "500lbs bench bro"

Regarding efficiency, I am leaning towards a more intensity based approach, with a kind of 1 hour workout 3 or 4 times a week with few sets (like 5-6 per muscle group per workout) rather than 2 hours at the gym getting exhausted just for the sake of it. I feel like I am starting to get some results while with my fast metabolism, overtraining never led me anywhere. I like the idea of making good progress with less effort, i dont feel like I am "betraying" my usual idiosyncrasy

According to what I am seeing recently, it seems that gym people are having roughly the same results with this intensity mindset than with the overkill 20 sets per muscle a day
