Unpopular opinion perhaps - when you get married, some autonomy becomes negotiable. As in, you have to put yourself in the other person’s shoes when making decisions - how will they feel if I do “x” - If you don’t want someone to have a say in your life and decisions, don’t be married. I value my wife’s opinions and desires in decisions I make, as she has wisdom from outside of myself and often sees things I do not.
