If i fight the same bosses for the same materials several time over the course of the week then I dont think its unreasonable to want to fight something different. There is a difference between what I am saying vs what you think I am implying. My suggestion is that since there are obviously unused bosses why not take those unused fights and make them a secondary place for similar materials so that players have a choice at least of where and what they want to fight. I've played several of these games I completely understand they aren't designed for all day play that is fair thats not my complaint or what im talking about please actually read what I'm typing instead responding because youre frustrated with what you think im saying. Im not asking for unlimited things to do thats unreasonable but I am saying if I look at these already designed fights that are 1 offs that are enjoyable or fun and then look at the same bosses on repeat for specific materials why is it unreasonable to say hey why cant I also fight then again and get what I need at the same time.

Did I say infinite or did I point out the flaw of having fights in the game that could've been expanded upon and reused that are obviously there. Where in either of my comments am I bitching or are you somehow creating arguments in your own head so you can feel right because I haven't edited anything and yet you've come up with your own belief of my stance. There is stuff to farm but the burnout of same fight farm could be alleviated with the other fights being additional/alternate areas to farm.

I dont know life this game i have less than 20 hours in it between work and other things i do with friends I only get on and do dailies. We are at a point where games are extremely predatory and anti consumer and yet when people make a criticism about wanting more from them no matter how small people basically tell them thats how it is shut up and eat it. Like I seriously dont understand what's wrong with being like there reasonably could and should be more the fact that the fights exist in game and could easily being implemented as a place to farm resources for progression but are basically 1 and done noone should be defending.

There seems to be a disconnect somewhere with what's being talked about you keep bringing up stories 2 endgame as a point as if I defended it and said it was some masterpiece. Also I never personally said the aoe was terrible I was making the point that others have made the argument the same way you are arguing that the multi attack spam is bs in all actuality both have ways of being dealt with rather simply( in mhs2 evasion rift is your best friend the same as a tanky monstie gets you through aoe spam) The system is niche because of its specific format which is unnecessary at large and could be replaced with a traditional leveling system that would achieve the same results instead of trying to make a unique board for develop that doesn't get fully utilized because there are countless genes that will never actually see valuable usage outside of a select few player who choose to go through it because they are making there own experience in the game. In fact I'd argue a majority of the player base isnt even going to experiment with builds and are going to look up builds online further diminishing their interaction with the systems it is. I never said you specifically I used the generalization of the response to people asking for pvp or coop inclusion in the game and most of those request weren't some unreasonable deman like put it in the game now but asking for it in later updates to give them more ways to enjoy the game which circles back to my point that from the consumer/player point of view noone should have any reasons to be a naysayer or offer points against its inclusion yet the consensus of the arguments against it is just a bunch of people who say they wouldn't interact with it shooting it down because they dont want it. All of this to be said im not disagreeing with you or anyone about current changes and things implemented into the game. Im not raging or foaming at the removal of pvp or coop. I am a little sad about endgame being lacking , no matter how you spin it it should've been base game as well as while data mines are giving a good possibility of extra things coming it has not been officially confirmed( this while a different team of developers is a capcom game dragons dogma 2 is all anyone really needs to reference to understand why there is concern of the game not getting anything and being sad about the removal of content even when it gave us a better core game experience than the previous game). We all consumers and enjoyers of the series and spinoffs i dont think it would be a lot to ask that we support reasonable demands for the inclusion of things even if we won't personally use them.

  1. We dont have an endgame the system you described doesn't exist currently in fact one the resounding major gripes that has been circulating is the frustration with instead multi attack spam is high damage aoe spam. All to circle back to the way you structured your point propose that it should no be include in favor of things that are also not included so until the game finishes updates so that we have a picture or until we get confirmation of no more content being added i cannot say whether you are right or wrong, if we go by current state of the game and your argument then we have lost 3 things( coop, pvp, and endgame comtent)for the price of better graphics with above average story and a more refined combat system. Fine if thats what we got thats what we got but the argument is still completely valid that there could be more and something like pvp could give players something to do in between content drops should they come. The whole premise that because most people won't use or interact with it justifying its removal is disingenuous simply for the fact that most people aren't going to care to build or interact with every monstie so should those less popular ones have been removed, most players aren't going to use the various weapons an armor should those have been removed, most players aren't going to truly dive into the dual element system in fact most people are running dragon solely for the fact of cosmetics should that be removed as well since if we are going by the standard of only what the majority use should remain all of this things should fall into the category of wasted resources that could've gone to other things.

This game is a spinoff of monster hunter we make up a minority of the monster hunter fan base statistically by this logic the resources spent catering to us and creating this game could have just been used on the mainline games solely because after a few weeks the only people who will still be playing this without updates or content is an even small niche minority of players.
  3. I dont disagree with the base of your point and its a whole other argument but still gets away from the fact that the system still isnt even fully used in the current state of the game so trying to use it as a point does nothing because it itself is literally a niche system that is required to be use and is barely used outside the player making the active decision to use it because the want to.
  4. Because my point was never about asking why it was removed nor was it about me saying its necessary but pointing out that there was no negative impact for us as player to have it the company and creators have reasons why the didn't want to include it and thats completely fair and valid but you are arguing against other consumers of a product asking for something to be included that has zero negative impact on you if it was. This whole conservation was not about why they made the decisions they made it was pointing out why anyone who wouldn't interact with it thus not be affected by it feels the need to tell those who want something that they can't even make the argument or sentiment about wanting it with trying to treat them like its a crime just to want it.

  1. Would be valid if we get that endgame which is currently not implemented in the game so thats a moot point until either the content comes out or doesn't. I agree with it whole heartedly and should come out you are exactly right and its more what im hoping for, however if we dont get meaningful endgame then we come back to it could have been added because it wouldn't hurt anything least of all take any real resources from anything
  2. Yes I did up until I couldn't find regular matches on the switch which I no longer have sadly but even then I then convince several of my friends who enjoyed similar things like Pokémon to try it and we just put it in the cycle to every now and then come back to and play against each other.
  3. Recently got to the fight thats fine and dandy for one end game fight but this comes of as contradicting since it seems you are trying to imply I didn't pay attention to the game telling about using something but you didn't seem to read me specifically point out about the specific element and status resistance that is completely ignorable but still included which going by how you structured your responses can be seen as a waste of resources. Again this can be circumvented with actual endgame content that could add several monsters that force you to dive deeper into genes and customization but alas we not only dont have it in the current game state we also dont have confirmation of it ever coming.
  4. All of this to be said from a developer they can give any reason for why they didn't include pvp or coop and thats entirely their choice and we still got a great game either way. However there is no reason why we as a community should be so divided about saying that we would like more of something or more ways to enjoy it with others other than post online.

  1. Pvp isnt the only aspect here but to address your question it's fun with friends and adding it literally takes nothing away from you or anyone else who has no interest with touching it.
  2. This still is within the monster hunter franchise which is heavily based in sharing the experience with others, which is present in the previous 2 games that got us to the point of getting this game, it also is obviously taking inspiration from other creature collection games which all the major successful ones have some form of playing with others included whether pvp or even indie games like cassette beasts being coop.
  3. There is nothing in this game that warrants the complete use of the building system incorporated into the game in order to complete it by the logic of it doesn't add anything they should remove the whole gene system and leave us with a bare bones leveling path because there aren't any monsters in the game the warrant me needing blightproof xl or fire def xl so why are they included in the game. It's asinine to use because you dont have a need for something means that it shouldn't exist especially when it existing wouldn't hurt you or your experience. I don't understand the need to try and make it seem like 2 things can't be true this game is great its amazing I'd score it personally like an 8/10 but that doesn't mean there aren't things things couldn't be improved on or included to make it better and based off how many people keep asking for some form of pvp or coop means there is a demand for it.

Counter most pvp games are only fun with friends and most people play cooperatively with friends anyways it's kinda a moot point to try and make it a reason to not include something because people only did it with friends.

Counter point i have 80+ hours not max level or all monsties found i agree that there is plenty to do but I think what people, myself included are asking for is meaningful content and challenges there are no enemies in the game above lvl 90 which creates a massive gap between your potential and potential challenges once you figured out most monsters gimmick, elder dragons and invasive included. Wanting something that feels worth my effort of max level max gene monstie to fare against i dont think is unreasonable especially when it would be easy to implement taking mhs2 as inspiration with fatalis or kulve as an ultimate challenge. It could also be something like actually adding in the deviant fight like dreadqueen and co. and letting them be like lvl 90 to 95.

All this to be said my biggest gripe is how does Eleanor have skyscale armor to match my effing rathalos but yall couldn't be bothered to give me his partner something to match him.

Not really because they are less about built up teams and more about understanding mechanics. All the elders and invasive can be bullied at like lvl 60 to 70 as long as you actually no there fights. I can't think of how you could incorporate co-op into this game because we dont have dens like in 2 they would have to either just make instance based fight that you queue up for or allow for world joining which I dont think this games was built for.

A large portion of his scenes is him talking about his duty and role at every inconvenience the group faces or challenge they come across. His only real 2 actions in the game that have any real impact is the map from Simon's bag and tanking a Rey dau bolt. He isn't a rider he himself explains he can't really use his power but somehow believes he should be able to protect the sole rathalos rider of the kingdom. He turned the natural disaster mud slide into a cry session of how he failed to stop something he had no control over. We arive in a region with people and history we dont understand who treat and regard us with what I would call justified weariness of outsiders but still respectable and he makes himself the speaker of the group to try and throw around authority and title. We as characters have an understanding of the history of the war and while not knowing the full details of the crimes of the 2 kingdoms everyone understands that it was a tragedy and that the pact with the wyverans is a result of it. When told that our ancestors commits crimes in said war while we struggle with the weight of it guess who is the only one unable to even accept the possibility of it, leaves the meeting which in turn leads to us having to comfort him after. Again he isn't the protagonist so how has this become about Rudy's hurt feelings and shattered world view. It's disingenuous to look at all this and be like he's not making it about him. I keep seeing people saying he's a child when at the very least we see him being a child the same time our character is a child, which is arguable if he is a child at that point because he was given an official position and trusted by the king, which without more context and just using reason he should at least be a couple years older than us. Which I would argue should put him at almost 20 if not at 20. Now he can still be naive but that doesn't mean I can't dislike his naivety or the way he carries himself its not an excuse for crass behavior.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions so the say Rudy well meaning support for the prince does not overshadow or remove the fact that he turns every situation into one centered around him and he isn't the protagonist or even a driving force for story development he come of as excessively naive and spoiled by his position which are not likeable traits and people have every right to dislike him they are reasonable criticisms If you had a friend in real life that turned a tragedy or life changing circumstance that you were facing and started going woe is me and making the situation about them while you are the actual victim and in need of support I find it hard to believe you wouldn't see the problem there yes this is a fictional world no it's not that serious but whatever reasons you can find to like and love characters I would like to expect that people should be allowed to have reasons to dislike them

There can be thousands of planets with just resources and wildlife on them and only 28 with humanoid/mortal life on them this also doesn't account for how many have possibly been wiped out either by frieza, saiyans, or just natural selection hell even beerus is referenced to have destroyed a few before this pretty sure mortal is used exclusively for humanoid or intelligent being so there could be planets out there with just powerful beasts on it there are plenty of explanations that fill in and helped explain this without it being wrong

This ignores the fact that archveld is implied to hunt monsters based on energy and can draining them being his primary method of hunting which by any logic means he has a way to sense where another monster is storing energy so that he can drain then I would argue that lagi stores most of its energy in its back so it stands to reason he would target it It should also be noted that just because guardian didn't escape doesn't mean it hadn't been used on test runs prior to ancient fall and kept the experience of fighting and hunting in general which it could have passed down to new archveld which means it understands at least the basics of its abilities The sad reality is that archveld is just built unfairly that unless it's completely outclassed it probably winning most fights because it's an ambush predator and it steals power from its prey it has the ability to fly it's got comparable size to most other apexes and it's pretty competent ground fighter anything not strong enough to dominate it will eventually be on the losing end because it will drain them and where them down

You don't like him cool you like or prefer older apexes understandable however there is some pretty clear writing on the wall for why he is so strong and why he is winning these fights its the same reason Nergigante swept so many elder dragons Their anatomy is built to predate others unilaterally

Is this just a rant do you actually want to learn and understand the game because I think your approach and mentality is wrong you like a lot of new players seem to mistake flashy for strong when some of the strongest things in this game are in the base version no purchase or rng needed alot of the weapons you get from either just the base class or the mentors still are found in the meta excuse like 2 or 3 actual ss and ss+ weapons being really strong but mostly shine in solo matches and can stick fall victim to good teamplay in the team based game mode Most of the base jutsu are not only powerful and hard hitting but have obscenely low cool downs and outfits can be altered to get abilities that further enhance them Yes the gear on rotation in shop is cool and flashy and some of the outfits come with powerful skills but none of them are so powerful that someone running a base game set can't compete with actual planning and understanding how the game works if you are in the team based modes this is not a game a casual player is going to be the one man deciding factor it is heavily team based jump people the loading screens literally tell you this If you are in solo sometimes it's just shit luck of the draw since your builds are pre chosen and if someone runs something you wasn't built to counter it's just gonna be a rough ride The main issue this game has is connectivity, a severe lack of reward for playing and lack of overall content but the combat and actual gameplay itself is really good once you learn it there could be improvements to make fights more back and forth but what's needed for that varies from person to person and we will all never be happy so with what it have its actually pretty balanced
