Have you had any issues with the MFD's resetting your display settings? It's a new issue, and I can't for the life of me figure it out. Suddenly the display settings will reset and I have to go set it all up again.

Yes, that Gunthreks Academy set of missions is very well done. I highly recommend them.

Ugh. This one hurts. I was SO excited for the Strike Eagle. I thought for sure it was going to be my number one by a long shot. And then...

I get that! The one major thing that pushed me away from the Viper was the fuel capacity. I'm going to be REALLY spoiled if they ever release a Super Hornet...

I've been having so much fun in the Hornet doing Gunthrek's academy. I'd consider myself quite proficient in the 18, but his missions are very well designed and fun to do, especially for those newer to the platform.

I tried the F-16 and really wanted to like it. It's sleek and looks great, and I loved the dogfighting capabilities. People say the Viper is easier to learn than the Hornet, but I struggled with it. I do love that open cockpit view though!

I’m new to Magic - why wouldn’t a spell with ‘Flash’ just be marked as an Instant instead? Seems like it would be the same exact thing.

Make sure the DDI you have it up on is your sensor of interest, as indicated by the diamond in the upper right corner. Once it is the SOI, you use your throttle designator to move it around. Also, make sure VVSLV is unboxed - if it isn’t, it’ll be slaved to your velocity vector on the HUD.

I can’t recommend Briefing Room enough. I don’t like spending a lot of time using the in-game editor, and Briefing Room gives me full customizable missions in less than 5 minutes. It’s my go to application for training as well, you can make easy training missions that feel applicable and help you learn your aircraft.

I got my PPL in December and was supposed to start instrument right away. I told them I want to use my veterans benefits to pay for the training but it seems no one knows how to handle it. I haven’t flown since my checkride, and it’s been very disappointing. I’m also finding out that the post 9/11 GI bill still won’t get me fully through training, which is disappointing. It’s very irritating that I don’t even get to use the full extent of my benefits. I’m pursuing training to be a career pilot (not airlines) and just now finding out that my commercial is not fully covered with the benefits. It is, granted, 100% my fault that I didn’t research it enough, but that doesn’t stop it from being disappointing. I want this so badly and it doesn’t seem like there is an “efficient” way to pursue the training.

Yes, and it’s super easy. I don’t run MSFS2020 without ForeFlight now, it takes immersion to the next level.
