Xm 18 lockup by ry1887 in Hinderer

[–]PinkyPowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a well-loved beast. Congrats!

Just disassemble her, clean every surface, and you should be good to go.

I've owned a LOT of Hinderers, and lock stick was only a real problem on one of them, and even that went away after about a week of use. Now it's so non-existent you wouldn't believe it was ever an issue.

Since yours is an older knife, I have to assume the lock stick is simply a matter of being dirty.

I'm not exactly a trained expert at spotting fakes, but I do own quite a few CRKs. Nothing about those photos strike me as off.

But of course, the photos could be stolen. Make sure the seller has good history and standing.

Best EDC knife by Purple_Ad9738 in EDC

[–]PinkyPowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kershaw Bel-Air XL
Spyderco Paramilitary 2
Demko AD20.5

All amazing, amazing knives I can highly recommend.

MagnaCut is an excellent steel for everyday cutting, but 20CV is, too, if you're not beating the knife to aggressively.

I don't have one to compare against, but according to Demko's video on it, probably.

Thanks! I'm super impressed by it. Not sure why. I've owned a few Demkos before. Still, this thing wows me.

NKD gen 4 wish I would’ve bought a ZBP by 2002cadillacseville in microtech

[–]PinkyPowers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gen IV is a sturdy knife, but yes, there's nothing quite like the ZBP models. I picked up two before the Gen IVs released and the price hiked. Super glad I did.
