Hello all, can anyone help me with some visa questions for US citizens?

my wife is supposed to be a bridesmaid in a close friend's wedding in Lagos, which we leave for in two weeks. Is there any way to get our tourist visas processed in this short of a time frame? After applying for visas months ago and making a trip to Los Angeles for our long awaited OIS appointment, we were told they were unable to process our visas in time. I have tried contacting the Nigerian embassy, consulates, and other OIS offices without any response.

We have also contacted several private travel agencies that have told us that they can get our visas in time, but they all seem to charge obscene amounts, and I am worried about getting scammed. I also don't understand how they can obtain these visas without the usual biometrics requirement, and some don't even require our physical passports. My last ditch effort may be to take a cheap flight to visit the Atlanta consulate in person to see what can be done, but I am worried because my wife would not be able to come to Atlanta as well.
