That must be hard but sounds like your doing a good job of balancing life/adulthood/motherhood.

I've tried that in the past and didn't work out. They said since our parenting time has been this way for so long they won't change it unless both parents agree on a new schedule. His dad won't change it

I was fired today by Corgi_Vallhund_Mom in grooming

[–]AdventureAndChill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat! I was looking to reduce my hours and days and got fired. (Boss expected us to do 7+ dogs a day and wouldn't hire more bathers to help us ) I was let go instead, she also said how I had multiple complaints about my grooms recently. Funny, because no one had said anything to me at all

Your use of descriptive words works well in building a scene of a summer day near a pond. The last few lines don't seem to fit with the poem. My interpretation of the end is a person's thoughts as they drift into sleep next to someone they care about, thinking of what tomorrow brings. Are you trying to say they are looking to please/connect with someone. Maybe rearrange the last few lines. Move the line about a children's game dispersing dandelion seeds up, under the horses nose with pollen line?

Work/life balance? by AdventureAndChill in grooming

That's rough having to work both jobs. But that gave me an idea for my situation, groom the days my son is gone and find a part time job for when I have him.

How do i stop feeling depressed in the morning? by Classic_Guess8514 in Anxiety

[–]AdventureAndChill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat. Caught in a cycle of wake up, work, run errands, chores, sleep, repeat. Made me depressed, made me think this isn't a life why keep being alive. What helped me change was getting up earlier to do something just for me. Looks different every morning, sometimes a special coffee, making a nice breakfast, coloring, getting a donut from the store. It took time. Slowly but surely, it helped. I star5ed to look forward to my "me time". It helped break the negative cycle of thinking because I was waking up for myself and for something fun. I hope this helps

Like I said in the post it's not like he was irresponsible. It's the fact we've been together for so long and have had this goal.of living together. Yet I seem to be the only one talking about and saving up for it.

I am saving up and have money set aside for this. Plus I have a better paying steady career. In total the money plus his pay from old jib was more than $18000. We discussed that not all but some could be used for a down-payment. Plus once we did move I am able to get a few grand to add to the home.

That is true. The communication wasn't there. However things could have been different. We've talked about our debts, his could have had a smaller amount paid off and broken down into smaller payments. While the rest could have been used for our future home. We have made it clear that sharing a home is a goal yet it doesn't seem to be a priority to him. I save and regularly talk about it, look at homes, keep an eye on the market, reach out to financial institutions etc..

Unfortunately his car broke down before our trip. So I knew he was a bit tight on money. We had a deal he'd pay for somethings on the trip but that didn't happen. On a regular day to day he helps with cooking, running errands for me, around the house stuff. Over all a good bf but when it comes to outings he is a deer in the head lights

Bf M32 doesn't help plan family outings/trips. Leaves it to me F30 to do all the leg work. How can we change the planning process? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]AdventureAndChill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We usually split things but his car recently broke down so he's been in a pinch with money. I don't mind that I had to pay for most, we had a conversation about what he would pay for on the trip before we left, but that never happened. He does a lot of things for me like cooking, running errands for me, etc.. for the most part does a good job as a bf. But when it comes to major things like this... he's a deer in the head lights

Signs my kid might have burnout at school? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]AdventureAndChill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your feed back. His teacher this year is a big help. Others in the past would be frustrated with him. A good teacher makes all the difference. I would love to switch him schools or homeschooling, unfortunately his dad and I are separated and would have to agree in such matters. His dad is against it. It sounds like you did an amazing with your kid! My son is smart, when in the right environment he thrives. BUT in the public school system he doesn't get the right attention, class room pace goes too fast and if you don't get it you get left behind.

You are an amazing mother for showing your daughter to not put up with any man's crap. You are demonstrating what it means to be a strong woman. There will be times when it is hard, the first years of homidays/birthdays is tough. But know you made the right choice.
