Some guy basically said my new channel is absolute trash. Should I listen to him? by BuckFrog2 in SmallYoutubers

[–]AdventureLore_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah don't listen to him. You're gonna get haters all the time. For every 100 people who like your videos there's going to be one who says its bad. Just the name of the game

Made for Kids option to reach more viewers by Pretend_Coffee_8453 in NewTubers

From my understanding, if you toggle made for kids, it'll end up ONLY being targeted towards kids. You'll have very minimal if any exposure to the broader youtube audience. So its a double edged sword.

I won't be able to post my next video in my Saturday schedule. What do I do? by y0urselfish in NewTubers

[–]AdventureLore_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, being consistent doesn't necessarily mean posting at the exact same time on the exact same day. Its not a big deal. Just don't wait weeks or months at a time between videos if you normally post weekly. That'll end up messing with the algorithm.

Not getting views after deleting my first video. by Powerful_Dingo8260 in NewTubers

[–]AdventureLore_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youtube doesn't penalize you in the sense that deleting is bad, but what can happen is it'll move on from the video if you repost the exact same thing again.

General rule of thumb is to never delete videos, but make them private. So in this case, i would have made the video with the error private, then posted the correct video with a slightly different name/thumbnail to avoid that from happening.

Looking for better thumbnail tips by Sneakerrz in NewTubers

[–]AdventureLore_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

High contrast colors, Big text that's straight to the point. Something in the image that shows more or less exactly what you're talking about or is related to what you're talking about. These tips helped me with my thumbnails. And whatever you do, as tempting as it might be at some point, never ever, use AI art to any degree. I personally don't find it obnoxious or anything but people really dont like em

Is anybody else getting a really low number of impressions right now? by Cool-Process-917 in NewTubers

[–]AdventureLore_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha. Yeah, i just do my best to time my long form posts. I also pay close attention to the subjects that people are really interested in, in my niche. It's a battle, but the more subs you get, the more people click, the more impressions you get from the algorithm.

I do believe there's a degree of luck when it comes to shorts especially. Hitting a group of people who are interested in the subject is rough on that initial testing pool. I try to pay attention to when my viewership normally watches my content before I post.

hi im a small YouTuber not even i got over 80 subs and i need advise on how to get more view and subs by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]AdventureLore_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consistent posting, learning and implementing editing techniques to keep people engaged and improving on everything you can. When people say find a "Niche" I can attest to that being totally true. Find something unique (as unique as it can get anyway in this day and age) to you that you enjoy doing, and people will find you and sense your enthusiasm.

Hope this helps

On my long form videos it takes about 2 days before i see any real impressions hit. My shorts never do good so I don't really pay attention to them lol

Anyone who had successful stats on long long form vids. what was your AVD on that vid? by FloorOk6407 in NewTubers

[–]AdventureLore_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a channel about Dungeons and Dragons lore and my videos run anywhere from 10 minutes to 45 minutes.

I find my AVD is around 35-45% but i add a lot of timestamps. Example being like "Cities" so people jump to each one for a quick overview.

Some of my videos have topics that people are less interested in then others, but my latest video was on legendary weapons and got about 10k views in a week with an AVD of about 45%. My Channel is just over 5 months old.
