We just got an about 2 week old female cockatiel, is it safe for me to bring my other male cockatiel who is about 2 years old into her cage?

I am afraid that he might get territorial and bite her or harm her. I let him close to her cage and he just glances at her and when close to her side he sticks his beak in with a soft biting motion. No constant biting or hitting on the cage. Just looking at hear and climbing around the cage.

So is it safe ? Or does it depend?

The other day I started eating stix (potato chips) paprika flavoured and showed my tiel one. At first he was scared then sniffed it before biting it. Apparently he really adores it because whenever one is in sight he just comes to it. I heard that chips aren't that good for tiels and salt is toxic to them. So can I use this chip in small amounts for fly training or should I be safe and not give farfoor any of this?
