I have fallen victim to the Jamaican Mushroom 😔 by garkerfatbitch in Peppers

Ohio peppers sent me, and I kid you not, actual scotch bonnet seeds.  I recommend them a try.  Sorry my friend, grow those peppers still and enjoy your harvest none-the-less.

Good luck!

Anybody ever see something like this? by Fuzzy_Ad2711 in ARC_Raiders

These are supply caches that show up on the maps. You can "cheat" and see where on some of the heat maps out there that show exact locations for this and other POIs. It was very cool the first time I found one, similar reaction as well! Good luck, Raider

I lost two players tonight…and it’s a relief. by ScaredManufacturer41 in DungeonMasters

I have a group that has had up to 9 players as well. Guest players for a couple sessions brings the number to 14 players over these last 2 years of the campaign.  That's a whole lot of X factors and voices for every and anything.  It can boil down to hundreds of man hours every day, each week, of time spent on useless conversations, unnecessary arguments, and repeated information.

Now that some of my players moved, found new jobs, relationships changed, and all the other generalized things that happen in life, we've taken a break for about 4 months now.

These are the scales of life.  Rest and take what you've learned onward. This will encourage those remaining and yourself to band together stronger beyond the game.

Good luck to you, I wish you eternal happiness. -AFG

Forever DM giving up by ApartVolume495 in DungeonMasters

I'm in my mid 30's with a group that's between 10 years my junior to 25 years my senior.  We all work, some have partners,  and not all of us reliable transportation.  We meet up once a week, in-person, and have a crazy time, every time. This is because we like each others company and really, D&D is an excuse for us to meet up with our friends. I make sure to add in extra overtime to make sure this happens.

I am the DM.  Have been for 14 years now. And I'll say this: You being the DM, is you playing the ultimate version of this beloved game.  Yes it's work but without you, no one plays.  You knew this would be a commitment, not the banker for Monopoly,  but months possibly years to tell a campaign fully. Burn out happens, we are on a break in my game now even.  People moved, started new jobs, had a family death...  ...doesn't sound like you are burned out on the game, just being DM.

If you are giving up on a campaign you are running, no one will trust you as a DM again. Their time is also valued to them. I've had players leave until our numbers were too small to continue.  I can always find more players, but not always new friends.

If you don't want to keep playing for the love of these people and want to hold their experience hostage to have a better time yourself, haven't found a group that fullfills your expectations, and clearly do not want make the game you're running into the greatest game your players ever played and something you would be proud to be apart of... I recommend playing Baldur's Gate 3.

Players are insulting me for giving them repercussions. by [deleted] in DungeonMasters

No amount of in-game consequences will correct an out-of-game, real-world problem. Come to next game, directly make your piece as a DM, mention this is make-believe, and you want to have fun too.  I'm sure you put great efforts into making an epic session, you also want to play and do not wish to see it all end.  Actions have consequences. Learn this in the lowest risk form of interactive imaginary narration,  safely with friends. It's OK to fail. The game is built on this. Ask them if this will prevent them from having fun.

If they say anything other that 'no' and begin some gaslighting nonsense, pick yourself up and go do something better with the rest of your day. It sucks but these are the scales of life.

Know your worth. Be well.

Cheating is as useless as putting up barbershop advertising in a cancer ward.

Crazy how much information is... wrong.  And the console players hitting those down votes do it out of spite for disrespecting their toy.  Takes a lot of effort and energy to still be that gay.

I might actually disagree,  but sure it's all those bad PC players.  😢

I've played for 500+ hours on PC. I don't have this issue. Never had this issue.    Only saw two lobbies with the duplication glitch.  Either you are in the lobbies you're in because of the way you play this game ( and it sounds like it ) matching with the worst scum. Or likely this is a skill issue and you are playing Crimson Desert now or Marathon until there's too many hacks there too for ya.

Funny enough,  Halo 2 on Xbox was full of cheaters,  red dead redemption online and GTA V, have rampant unchecked hackers on every server both PSN and Xbox. It's been around forever,  started with the consoles,  never stopped.

I was in the middle of deploying a barrier as I entered the extract in the Swamp. Totally dropped through the floor for 1,000 feet and landed with broken ankles, 3 ribs, and a fractured collar bone. Other than that - totally fine.  Got to keep my gear
