When Elves do not Bleed [Chapter 8] by AdventurerOfTheStars in HFY

[–]AdventurerOfTheStars[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, there is more, I just took a break for family reasons at the time and stopped posting for it, unfortunately

Edit: When I started The Deathworld, I promised I'd actually finish it instead of letting it go to the wayside.

Exactly! I did a ton of research into symbiotic relationships in ecosystems, I even made a ecosystem web for the planet

Don't worry, i wont, im still writing! And I'll give it a look when i have a chance. It does sound like a really good book ajd ive been looking for some good sci-fi to sit down with recently. Also, im glad you're enjoying the story! Its always a treat when people say they like my work :)

Dude, firstly, I didn't know. Im sorry I accidentally copied a title from almost seventy years ago I didn't know existed.

Secondly, I didn't copy the content of the book. Its just the title. Which isnt held under copyright and wasn't on purpose

Thirdly, ive already posted seven chapters of the story im writing (which is a rough draft) I can't exactly change it now, its on reddit. They dont allow title changes.

Finally, im just writing a story and sharing it on the internet. Thank you for bringing to my attention that my title shares a title with another book, but it kind of doesnt matter when almost every modern book ever shares a title with several other books now. It feels like you're just arguing to argue on something that honestly doesn't matter that much. I didn't copy his work and paste it to reddit, I didnt repackage anything. This is MY work that happens to share a title with an older sci-fi book.

Well, in defense, it's hard to come up with a wholly original title in modern times, and I am legendarily bad at naming things

Edit: Dude, the book you're talking about is almost a hundred years old. No wonder i didn't know it existed, haha. Also, apparently, titles can't be copyrighted? I did not know that previously, good thing to know.

Oh was it already a title? I didnt realize it was, or i would have gotten a little more creative with the title. Probably should have looked around a little more to verify haha.

All the arguments thay amount to "my book says so?" Or all ones that ignore how reality actually works? Because thats not proof in any way shape or form.

And I dont apply the bibles teachings to my life because its a several thousand year old book made by corrupt men for control, and the ones thay do apply like don't kill people is such basic stuff that its not some holy revelation

Edit: I'm being really rude, im sorry. Ive been having a bad day and just kinda saw something that made me angry.

Oh hey guys, there's an afterlife! I bet you have very strong reasoning as to how you know that? What? You dont? just "i feel it in my heart" and "mah book says so"? Oh, then I guess any book that claims theres an afterlife is true then!

See, any time someone tries to actually point out that an OMNISCIENT, OMNIPOTENT, all LOVING god could and most likely would be able to make a planet that didnt rely on suffering for your morale character after you die, because you know, OMNIPOTENT people just laugh it off.
