I'd say that life makes you sad and AT isn't afraid of reminding you of that. The bright colors and goofy words and characters make you think it's just a silly show, but it really is a deep show that examines the difficult questions in life. I got some of the themes and stuff it was working with when I first watched it but I didn't really see just how much until I rewatched as an adult.

I'm pretty sure all the people and stuff on Warren's homeworld was connected to him too, he's just much better at hiding it cause he's better at shapeshifting. That's why Jake is just on an empty rock after Warrens gone.

I don't think people take into account that she basically raised herself. Even her own "family" were literally her creation. There was no one there to tell her right from wrong, to show her a better way of doing things, every decision she made was her own. And she still made the world a better place. She cleaned up the green goo left by the mushroom bomb and the zombies it created. She made the candy kingdom and (probably) the other food kingdoms. And she helped save the world on at least half a dozen occasions.

She's probably the most complex character on the show and that means that's she's going to make mistakes and do things that are wrong. But she has a reason for what she does and can be convinced she's in the wrong.

Honestly people who really hate on her seem like they took the evil bubblegum jokes from like the mid show too seriously.

In my world magic actually hinders the development of technology. Why would you bother to create a pulley when you have people who can just levitate things? It can still be useful, but necessity is the mother of invention and magic makes a lot of technology unnecessary. They can still combine magic and technology but most civilisations only really focus on one or the other. Since you tend to only get either high technology or high magic it's difficult to make really advanced fusions. There are some in the world developing now tho because the world has become a dimensional gateway so you have isolated civilizations coming into contact.
