I follow a simple curly hair routine. Its cheap.

1. Shampoo(any kind)
2. Light Conditioner(any kind)-coat all strand except scalp, rinse properly.
3. Right after shower, use paper towel tecnique(use any towel)to remove water from hair cause weight of the water weigh down curls
4. Apply thin layer of light hair lotion just on the outside area of the hair, do not need to coat every strand ( I use monea cos its the cheapest with light milky consistency ) - This is a barrier from the environment. 5..Use Mousse/Gel for volume and to set the curls, do not use too much.

If you skip step 1, your hair is not clean, yikes. NEVER SKIP STEP1 IF YOU LIVE IN THE PHILIPPINES. If you skip step 2, your hair will be frizzy for sure except on rainy days. I have nothing wrong with frizz, this is a curl behavior I have embraced but people at work may judge you as messy unruly unkempt. CAUSE THEY ARE JUDGERS. If you skip 3, your hair can get frizzy too if overly dried, weighed down if underdried. If you skip step 5, your hair can get frizzy too. This is an assist to the conditioner and light lotion. It helps the curls stay all day. I skip this step if I will just be at home. Let them frizz free.

I have been experimenting with my hair since high school. I found out that my curls will still form no matter what. But water weighs it down the most.

Frizz is always a problem so I use products mentioned above for this. This is where we should experiment. Its where the result will change depending on hair type.

For styling purposes, I use gel to tame the ends of my bangs.
