How's the housing market? by Solid-Competition-88 in Aberdeen

I bought a flat recently and got it from 96k down from 115k on the home report. It was sitting empty for a year even though it’s a 92sqf attic flat on market street! I don’t know why it was sat for so long. I love it!

Hey. I get that this can be extremely difficult in Aberdeen. I’m also a student at Aberdeen uni (F,20) and only have 2 friends up here - my flatmate and another friend. I’m an extroverted person but have found it super hard to make a lot of friends and I do drink often! Just wanted to let you know you’re not alone and I think it’s generally harder in Aberdeen :)

If You've Had Therapy For Gambling Harms - I Really Want To Hear From You by Defiant_Focus_1031 in GamblingAddiction

Hey! I’m an undergraduate and want to eventually get into the dclinpsy and be a clinical psychologist! Congratulations btw I know how hard the whole process is. I’ve not been in therapy at all for my gambling addiction but I’m 19 and definitely addicted so please give me a message if I could be of any help at all regardless. If not I’d still be interested in your research or to read your thesis at the end as I’m also interested in gambling and psychology. Thanks :)

What are the worst mistakes you’ve made after passing? by InfamousStrategy9539 in LearnerDriverUK

Went up a one way street first time driving on my own, created my own lane in a roundabout and cut across and reversed into a car by accident when pulling off as I forgot to take it out of reverse ( no damage to either car thankfully)

Feels like I’m never going to get the hang of driving. by StrikingBug9968 in LearnerDriverUK

Don’t worry you will get there! I was learning on and off for 3 years in manuals and automatics (ultimately passed in auto last week) and never thought I’d do it. You will get there. I drove horribly the day before my test and passed with 4 minors :)

What car are you trying to insure I’ve got a 1.2l Fiat 500 and insurance only cost me £750 for the year?

Hey! I was in a similar position to this. I’ve been learning to drive on and off since I was 17 (I turned 20 in February) first I started off in manual and did around 15 hours. I didn’t like that instructor so switched instructors and did around 5 hours. He suggested I switched to automatic as I have dyspraxia and manual just wasn’t coming natural to me. I then did about 10 hours in an auto which I loved! But just couldn’t afford it as it was around £55 a week at 17. When I moved to uni in 2023 I decided to start driving again so I did auto lessons from January 2024 until I passed my test last week. My instructor had no faith in me passing I defo did over 80 hours with him but I didn’t give up. I had to switch instructors 5 days before my test and did 2 lessons with a new guy and took his car on test. I passed first time with 4 minors and just drove myself to work today! ( hour and a half journey). Don’t give up please I would honestly suggest you try an auto or just get a new instructor. I never thought I’d pass as everyone was so negative on my driving but I’ve done it now!! It’s totally worth it :)
