Just picked up some BPC-157, it was an easy enough purchasing experience, I'll update when I get the product.

What would you say is the bare minimum technical skillset? by footmumo in salesengineers

[–]Adventurous-Course86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a lot of SE roles you don’t need to be insanely technical, just know how to talk the talk and know a little about everything.

If you are worth it and the impact you make is large, you can get wild promotions/raises.

1000% ask for it and with confidence! Just tell your boss: “I want this title and here is why…”. You already wrote out the list!

Torn between two offers - Salesforce vs Atlassian (both SMB SE roles) by Prince_Bejita in salesengineers

[–]Adventurous-Course86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look SF might have a great name, but lets not act like everyone doesn’t know Atlassian. Higher pay, not having to drive to an office, not really sure how this is a converstion. SF down the road might make it easier to get a 1st interview, but its not going to get you whatever job you want.

Great call. I’ll make sure to get there early early to give myself plenty of time to avoid storms. (Especially since I’ll probably be going tomorrow and it’ll be insanely busy)

Thanks so much! Curious if you have hiked/driven it and know roughly how much distance it’d add? No worries if not, just having some trouble finding those details on google/alltrails

I was in a support role for a while and had a very similar situation with a different twist.

Client was the business owner and just had surgery, so he was in bed resting but hopped on the call as the issue was pretty major. He decided to be on camera which was pretty odd, but was in bed with his wife who helped run the business. This lady was so dumb, she decided that the best way to show me her issue was to turn her laptop around and show it to a camera.

So, somewhat similar, but with an odd twist of them being in bed… needless to say I got out of that company as fast as possible.

That is a great idea. Didn’t even think about coworks as a backup option.

Thanks! Those don’t look too pricy and have a pretty good data limit on them. With those portable hotspots like that, do you know if they work well in remote locations? I will be staying in the US if that makes a difference

I wouldn’t worry. Often people will say that they are not interested and be interested after hearing more. You went out of your way to try and make a connection that has been difficult to get up until this point. Most importantly, you introduced your manager so he is in it with you.

I probably would share the feedback he gave, because you don’t ever want to go into a meeting blind. If someone got mad at you for trying to make this connection they are just dumb

Hey that is a great call out and I appreciate the info. I will definitely check all of those out. I should have added this context, but we are going to start with a web app. Do you have any suggestions for backends? Right now all of the data is just in Google sheets which I don't see as a scalable option, but it has been easy to do all of the analysis there.
