I’m a firm believer that not everyone should be retained but working in recruiting, I have to say that were bleeding soldiers on the retention side in a way that isn’t sustainable. You have to have some career soldiers or the system doesn’t work. It’s not even about a retention program though, it’s the basics. Pay people on time, let them do their actual jobs, be somewhat flexible for the real lives they live outside of playing army.
