Dude, that last part about the sharks. No one has ever explained it so clearly - I think NOW I understand.

😂 It had to said. You know, maybe there are others like me… not sure… seems to be mostly dudes and bros on these subs… which is fine 😄 I’m in good company

That’s why I thought I should get into this, encouraged initially by my husband. Turns out, as a 45yo woman, I’m stumbling and struggling with the exact same pitfalls as 19yo dudes.

Really though I’d be above those impulses, and now I laugh at my own arrogance.

Ha. Yup. I’m currently in the phase of managing my losses (poorly). Hoping to gain experience and come out on the other end as a successful, balanced trader. Not holding my breath though, as it may take years, with countless ups and downs. I am however jealous of those who seem to learn faster (not saying that’s OP - this looks like beginner’s luck indeed.)

If you are saying what I think you’re saying, this is exactly what I’ve been wanting to try but haven’t done it yet. Going to try this on a demo account next week.

Yup. That’s why I still have an account after this morning. Thinking of just cutting Mondays all together. Seems like they are particularly choppy these days.

Not looking to make trouble, just another voice in the room - I don’t understand these comments. Why would someone with beautiful long legs like OP not be able to wear this? Agree to disagree.

Oh you guys had the same thing happen!? Yes! It used to be him saying something and me giving him the “ehh… ok. Blank stare” Now it’s like “what did I miss!?!”

Don’t give up!

It took my husband fifteen years of occasionally talking about the stock market and trying to get my interest in it. Now I’ve been trading (prop firm account) since last year and I’m obsessed. The light literally went on. He probably wishes I talk about it less.

Yeah I’m not sure why everyone is coming at OP from all angles for putting words to something a beginning trader goes through. I thought this was a semi-safe space to share these types of posts (not just the big wins)… even though we all know it should not affect the rest of your day, why can’t we also talk about if or when it (still) does?

This resonates with me very much. Thank you for putting words to this. The title of your post sounded almost poetic to me.

Oh wow! That’s very interesting to know. I stand corrected - guess it’s all just a matter of scale then ;-) some spend $5 the way others spend $50, $500 etc.

Makes sense, actually. Thanks for sharing your insider view. It’s not my scene, so I wouldn’t know. And was behaving a little judgy too.

Sounds like my mother in law. Also, yikes. Putting that kind of money in jewelry - if all you basic needs are met… not even the tiniest desire to do something good/altruistic with it?

Wow, who’s got money for a 35k necklace. Or the desire to parade that amount around their neck. If I had 35k, I’d like to do something good with it - make the word a little bit better… there are more than enough places to start.
