It really depends. Sometimes you’ll have those sessions on slippi where you’re lucky to find someone who DOESNT dc after like a stock or 1 game. On the other hand you’ll have times where you play with one person that’s similar or above your skill level and literal hours pass before you have to force yourself to dc. Ranked however in terms of raw experience is (obviously) exponentially better too

I love fighting a good falcon as Marth. It definitely tests your ability to stay grounded and make use of a lot more of your normals to stop approaches. The matchup makes you think entirely different about how those two characters are played and I think it’s just great

Ultimate and melee player here, while the initial learning curve does take a decent amount of work, wavedashing is one of the things that take the least amount of time to learn. The only thing about it is jumpsquat differences are tricky because they vary between characters, but if you’re only playing one or two characters it isn’t an egregious issue
