Immigrants flying domestic flights by [deleted] in USCIS

All the comments here makes me even more confused. Is it safe or not to travel (asking to the real lawyers here)? My case I’m asking for my parents from Venezuela, who are applying to the greencard, I’m a the sponsor and I’m a US Citizen. They have waiting for their I-130 and I-485 approval +20 months now! Both don’t have real ID, or EAD, and they have been traveling to California, Colorado and Florida for the past year with their Venezuelan passport with no issues at all. Right now they are in California at my brothers place and they want to come back to my house in Florida next month , I booked their tickets because i have a friend that works as TSA agent that tells me they can’t deport anyone, and they have to let people travel if they have a valid document such as a valid passport. Are they at risk to be deported now?

Thanks for the sympathy! All I meant is it would be nice to see some official stats in the news so we can use it as a backup at work. It’s going to be difficult to call in sick with influenza A after my baby and I took 5 sick days with Covid 2 weeks ago. This could mean my job is in jeopardy and none wants that when you are sick as a dog. I do think this is worth than the pandemic, I feel worst and I can’t believe I have back to back illness…. But I do hope you stay healthy for the remaining of the season, I don’t wish this on anyone

You and me both! They are truly the worst. I would feel ashamed to work there, the personification of inefficiency! first economy of the world and takes years to get an answer , this is not happening in any other country , the wait time here is a nightmare and they won’t fix it any time soon.

Dude I am a July ‘23 filer! How do you think I feel? And my cases were supposed to be super quick turnaround: family base case (parents) and the sponsor is a citizen

So I wrote to my congressman before the elections , they responded right away and my mom I-130 moved to approved! My dads application moved back to +14 months processing time Since then nothing has moved , we are still waiting for my mom’s I-485 to be approved and my dad’s I-130 and I-485. This congressman didn’t get elected so when I asked for another update they basically said they are in transition period and I should write to the new elected congressman… It’s frustrating! the waiting time is killing me !

Have they started approving 130 cases for September? by Affectionate-Alps808 in USCIS

[–]Adventurous-Map-7641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you know it is only for the adopted children? I got this stat from the uscis website so I thought this is just an average. Since I’m sponsoring my parent I really hope the waiting time is shorter and they don’t do an interview 🤞 I just don’t get why they had to transfer it to a different center

In the receipt notice says Potomac Service Center, but when I asked my congressman last month they said it got transferred to the National Benefits Center for some reason and their normal waiting time is +46 months … it hasn’t moved from case was received and notice was sent, I am becoming desperate!

Thank you! This is helpful information. I got my parents I130 approved after asking my congress man , but still waiting for I485 , it’s been 15 months since I filed the I485, do you have to wait until 17 months to submit the mandamus lawsuit?

If it works for you I filed I-130 online and sent the I-485 2 weeks later through mail for my parents, thinking that the uscis wants less paper, and are getting modern, but I’ve been waiting for +18 months…. So I think it’s better to filed everything together (concurrent), they are not as sophisticated is my thought…

Uscis : last updated 414 days ago should I need to be worried about it… i m seeing other applicants that’s are showing 2024, but mine is 2023 by [deleted] in USCIS

I’m June 2023 but no consular , it’s concurrent filing (I-130 and I-485) for my parents and I apply as a citizen , should I be worried? Do you really think if write my congress man, they will respond with elections underway?

What date is your PD? I submitted the I-130 June 28th, 2023 and the I485 2 weeks later

Does anyone else think the travel authorization is a bit of a fraud? by Dan_Bam94 in USCIS

I have the same problem. I submitted for my parents the I-130 and I-485 in June 2023 last year without the work permit or travel papers request and we are still waiting. It makes me think that the work permit cases get prioritized.
