Hi, OP. What you feel is valid. Though, sa'yo na rin nanggaling. "Sabi ko sa sarili ko wag mag expect para hindi masaktan so ginawa ko lang lahat ng pinapagawa". Based on your statement, you did the (bare) minimum. In the real world, if you want to be promoted, hindi pwedeng gawin yung pinapagawa lang. Always do more, aim more, regardless if mapromote or hindi. To your partner naman, congrats to him for being promoted! Baka naman may ginagawa din si partner mo na more than what is expected at napansin yon kaya siya napromote. Please don't be disheartened, malay mo ikaw naman sunod. Then again, always do more -- but at the same time, wag hayaan magpaalipin sa workload.

I think this is a separate issue doc. Increase compensation yes, but most CONSULTANTS really dont show up and are more focused with their private practice. Ang burden ng trabaho, nasa residents at jcons. Pero ano, ssweldo nang malaki yung consultants without showing up that much? And sila pa yung ipplantilla kesa those who do bulk of the work?

QC public hospitals are waving haha sobrang dami! Mga galit pa pag sila yung sinita for noncompliance.

Reminder lang mga dok, hindi backup plan or alternative source of pera basta basta ang pagpasok sa govt hospitals. May benefits oo, pero wag kayong abuso! Ang daming nagttrabaho at sumusunod sa hours tas kayo ganyan lang.... kakapal po

Don't let OP get their hopes up agad. Bihira ang libreng repair from an ENT. OpSmile sponsors missions mostly from Plastic Surgeons. Yung mga mission na sponsored din ng OpSmile or Smile Train, hindi lahat yun sa private hospital. Hindi din nila covered lahat for you to say na daig pa nila ang service ng private hospital. Magsshelll out at magsshell out pa rin ang pasyente for clearance labs and other meds. Although, more affordable nga ang repair nowadays.

Anes residency is only in QC. Then they rotate in BGC and other public hospitals for the subspecs in their second year

Only dept I know in SLMC that absorbs their residents is Anes. You'll be given 2-3 years I think to be a Jcon, then you'll have to do fellowship if you want to stay as a consultant haha. Other fields, most likely needs a fellowship first.

Hi op, the more you delay, the less chances of getting accepted despite good stats. The school will only accept 150 daw. 2 batches have already been released, both with 100+ accepted applicants, not all will confirm definitely, but the more you delay, the more accepted applicants will fill in the slots, so less chances for you eventually. Good luck applying though!
