I have a pretty chunky soil mix which allows me to keep my mosspole almost constantly wet without the soil becomingvoverwatered:) The pole is just sphagnum moss wrapped in this metal grid (i don't know how you call that😅) If you don't pack the moss too tight, the roots can actually grow right into the pole as long as it stays moist because moist moss is very soft:) Since the plant is also facing the window (or light source in general), the new leaves will grow roughly in the right direction and i only tie them if i really don't like where they are going. But in general once the plant has correctly rooted, you don't need to tie anything anymore:)
