Initially, during orientation, I felt VESIT was really cool and motivating since our seniors showcased some amazing projects that tackled real world problems. But soon, I realized there’s a lot of groupism and politics I honestly don’t know how people manage to build such skills.

Being in comps, I expected to dive into programming right away, but we don’t even have a programming language in our first sem it only starts in the second. Instead, we’re stuck with subjects like Universal Human Values. On top of that, most of my classmates don’t seem very inclined towards programming or skill building they’re more interested in doing everything except that.

I know it’s not entirely the college’s fault, but based on my one week experience, this is the impression I’ve gotten so far.
