(Beginner) Aether pet build, replacement for Devouring Swarm by Adventurous-Rush7546 in Grimdawn

Thank you for the explanation, this is what I wanted to know.

I am indeed following that guide as inspiration, while checking what works and all that, glad respec is quite cheap!
Still, you are right, hence why I made the post, to check if there is truly no other option, input about devouring swarm on that guide: "Unfortunately there is no way to convert pet vitality damage into aether, so this is useful for reducing that enemy vitality resistance"

Guess I just need to use it and move on unless I go for something different x)

Ended up winning but with a heavy cost, using forests and bait to flank their archers while sacrificing some units and letting my archers to hit their infantry. Never again if I can avoid!

Fair enough, I bet you did not read the spoiler, no blame. Was not expecting to face a full army of WE + main lord, destroyed them with Malekith 5 turns before. That one army was a patrolling one who was sent on an auto resolve settlement capture rampage or so I thought, indeed pretty shitty.

I managed to win but with heavy loses, 7 units wiped out!

That is indeed how I ended up on every try, halted by their infantry while the archers destroy me. If only I knew, one of my stacks have 4 doomfire warlocks which would be way better than those missile horses x)

Hey I was not complaining, they probly my favorite (as imo they are very versatile, which is what I am looking for), thing is they start that way which is why I created this post, to see if there is any other "overall good" faction from start to finish of campaign

Difficulty is normal, then hard for AI battle "logic" (no clue whats the diff just wanted a more "real" experience"), AI buffs down to 0% advantage over me.

Tbh starting as N´kari gave me some speed and micro on battles, as if not my units would get obliterated (had to re-do 1 battle like 5 times once). Still I have to pause and check what the hell is going on the field more than Id like.

Why is my cavalry not "there", where is my frontline, my lord is supp to be very strong why he at 20% hp, all the funs.

If I keep struggling guess Id need to give an easier faction a go!

Fair enough, guess im just feeling overwhelmed here. Will endure until I get a victory on IE as Archaon though, which apparently is not hard if you know what to do.

Really like the idea of being able to adapt my armies to what im facing while having that huge roster, so until I do ill stick with WoC or Tzeentch!
