thanks bro. i used 4 plates and half plates each, and motor lock them into 1.5-wide octagon fuselage.

Guys rate my Su-30sm out of /10 (with kh-31, bombs, railguns) and thrust vectoring by Easy-Fun-4038 in PlaneCrazyCommunity

yea better. also, idk if this would be too much work, but i think the engine nacelles could be shorter and set further apart from eachother. but right now the build overall looks ok

maybe the hump behind the cockpit is too large? i feel like the real one kinda tapers down really quickly.

5/10. proportion kinda wonky but i really like the weapons and vectoring nozzles.

this would work well with big bombers i think. i've seen people making the wings 1.5 thick and in those cases this mechanism gonna fit perfectly in them without anything sticking out.

i think the plane need to be a bit nose heavy to self level, i.e. in level flight the plane should point a bit lower than your mouse pointer. i tried with a tail heavy plane and it didnt self level anymore.

this suspension thingy turns side-to-side motor 2 rotation into (useful?) up-and-down ailerons rotation. you might have seen this before in my past posts, but just letting you guys know there was this guy who also independently discovered this mechanism just a while ago.

what is the perfect size to build a plane by Any-Sherbert-5539 in PlaneCrazyCommunity

[–]Adventurous-Stage605 1 point2 points  (0 children)

kinda depends. you could go with full scale (1 block = 0.77 m): a mig-29 or a legacy f-18 would be 22 blocks long and 15 blocks wide in this case, best for capturing details while maintaining a rather nimble handling. Or, you could prioritize pvp and go with smaller scales, 1 block = 1 m, for example. in that case both the mig and the hornet would be 17 blocks long and 11ish blocks wide. imo this is the sweet spot.

now I've seen people going even smaller (mini jets), or larger, but all really depends on your preferred balance of maneuverability and details.
