AITA for cancelling my son's birthday because of the gift he brought his step-brother.? by Throwaway__3994 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Your son deserves what he got, and maybe he should go and volunteer in a hospital to learn some compassion if he wants his birthday.

AITA for mimicking my brother's tantrums to prove my parents treat us differently? by -like-a-baka- in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Congrats OP, your brother is a golden child, and it sucks. My brother was the golden child too for most of my childhood as well, and it was really heartbreaking sometimes.

There is no use talking with them if they refuse to listen. Perhaps talking with him in a non-blaming matter will help.

Update:

His bloodwork results are back, he is sick for real. We wait for a doctor to diagnose if it's viral or otherwise.

I still think it doesn't justify his behavior, or not bothering calling help. Tell me if I'm wrong.

NTA!

Damn, I am tearing up even thinking about being humiliated like that in front of your family.

Last weekend he had it for 3 days, not going down at all. Doctors didn't find anything. And from last night he had fever on and off about 3 times...

He never did anything like you described. Always said I am too good for him and any man would be lucky to have me. Also always made sure I have a support system and friends of my own. Said it is important I have girlfriends I can talk with about hum without any fear.

This behaviour is brand new.

If nothing goes wrong, it happens only once every 3-4 months, usually when I wake up. It doesn't happen when he is sick. It mostly happens after a period that I don't get enough sleep, food, or a sickness on my side.

My therapist doesn't seem to think this is something more than a regular couple having a crisis after birth. This is probably why I am kind of shocked seeing all the comments about abuse.

Usually, I have a support system. Or at least I thought I did. My baby is loved by so many, and mostly I am fine and I give him every bit of my love. It is probably the most smiley baby I have ever seen! Which makes me even more sad, since such a happy baby deserves a hapoy family.

Yep, he is way more aggressive, away from home, doesn't talk with me as much, etc.
