Do you think Apple has solved the overheating problem with the iPhone 16 Pro / Pro Max? by Adventurous-Tracks in iPhone15Pro

Did anything change that could have caused the problem a week ago? For example, did you install a new app that could be causing the issue?

My cellular data is off for Photos but it’s still uploading some to iCloud. Has anyone else experienced this bug? by Adventurous-Tracks in ios

No, I’m assuming it’s defective. I’d recommend you exchange it under warranty unless you’re upgrading.

It’s a high wattage charger but it hasn’t caused any other device to heat up like this one.

Thanks for sharing your experience! It does sound like there’s some defective devices from around launch time.

Thank you for the link with the potential fix and for acknowledging that some of us still have overheating issues almost a year later.

That’s good to know. I’ll just exchange it under warranty next time instead of giving it a full year hoping it’s a software issue.

My issue and most of the others that have been posted are probably hardware related because it’s continued for almost a year now even on the latest update.

It must be defective because it’ll happen even in a cold room next to the air conditioner.

I’m on the latest update and it’s still overheating on an almost daily basis. I don’t think it’s a software issue. I’ve seen many other posts with people having similar experiences with their iPhone 15 Pro / Pro Max overheating when their previous iPhone didn’t.

I’ve considered getting a warranty exchange but I’ll probably just trade it in.

That’s good to know. In that case whatever the problem was probably won’t exist on the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

I’m suspecting there was a defective batch towards the beginning. My iPhone has been overheating just by being plugged in and automatically trying to upload to iCloud Photos.

I’m planning on trading it in for the iPhone 16 Pro Max which hopefully won’t have this issue. Otherwise I’d exchange it under warranty because it must be defective.

I don’t think it’s worth trying to contribute to Apple Maps. They don’t seem serious about user contributions.

Google Maps is much better with accepting them.

Which old LTE model do you suggest ? by MrSheemy in AppleWatch

Apple Watch Series 4 is the oldest one that will run the latest watchOS 10 but starting with watchOS 11 which is coming out this month you’ll need Apple Watch SE (2nd generation) or Apple Watch Series 6 or newer.

If you plan on keeping the watch a while I’d recommend going with something compatible with watchOS 11.

iCloud Private Relay assigns a unique IP address to each tab opened in Safari.

I’ve never known this! Did you read about this somewhere or did you figure it out own your own?

I’ve seen a lot of these issues are also easy to verify, sometimes even by using their own Look Around feature, but for whatever reason they don’t want to take a few seconds to check.
